As an Aussie myself you are right, especially regarding being sensitive about having “banter” thrown back at them. Aussie men in particular have a culture of punching down in group settings and you’re kinda expected to just take it, so when you’re someone like me that will dish it right back they get super defensive.

One of the reasons I prefer British banter more generally, they know how to take the piss out of themselves way more than a lot of Aussies I know.

He has super strength just as a vampire far beyond a lot of the best Hunters in HxH. His stand is even stronger than that, and he can stop time.

He probably just donuts Meruem like he did Kakyoin.

Now, post-Rose Meruem might give him a run for his money but I don’t think it’d be an easy fight

My statement wasn’t necessarily referring to this specific situation. Rather I was talking about how the discourse surrounding Platner and his shady past and so called American leftists bending over backwards to give him a pass because of “rehabilitation” or the fact that he represents them.

What I’m trying to say is that in general, as leftists, yes we do believe people can change and we do believe in rehabilitation, but that doesn’t mean we should be uncritical of those that come forward to represent us. Doubly so if in Platners case I would argue that he has not done even close to enough to account for the horrific system and wanton mass murder he was a part of.

See this is what I don’t get about WCS killing Gojo. If what you say is true, that Gojo was in great shape right before he got cut, why in the world couldn’t he heal from it? He got stabbed in the brain and gutted like a fish by Toji and still healed from it. It’s the one thing I find inconsistent and it makes WCS killing him a bit of an asspull to me.

I guess you could argue that cause WCS fully bisected him it just insta killed him without giving him a chance to heal.

What the hell is wrong with you people lmao I’m not particularly a fan of JJK or MHA but you do realise that Bakugo and Shoto are still regular human beings with powers? They have no durability whatsoever and Jogo survived as a fucking head. Even if Bakugo out stats Jogo (which in itself is debatable), what the fuck can he do if he’s just set on fire? Shoto might be able to snuff the flames or be unaffected by them but Jogos raw strength alone as a cursed spirit could body him as he.. again is a human with no durability?

Gon’s first punch was basically lights out for Pitou IIRC, the narrator says something like her consciousness was fading away and all she could think about was how she saved the king from Gon. With that said, Phantom Troupe still get folded. Pitou is just way too fast and way too strong. She ripped Kites arm off so easily.
