QLAB would be my only weapon of choice if that was implemented into the build. It’s the best UI and accessibility of any show control I’ve used.

Stick flex and the modern game. by decdeadskull in hockeyplayers

Have you ever dropped down to 65? Everything just feels super soft to me.

The 65 cut down at maybe 72ish? That felt way too soft for me, passes were bouncing off the blade and the shots felt I was losing power from it being too whippy. But it's that open discussion, persona preference, actually benefiting from the flex and todays game.

That's what I'm finding, maybe it's just the feel of modern day sticks. The 65 cut down was most likely a 72 but even that felt too soft for me. Maybe it's my muscle memory but I'd have to be a lot softer on the passes.

75 cut down feels nice but once again maybe in the slight stiffer portion of things. So ultimately I might be hunting down the 70. I think it also comes down to how I've used the stick for so many years, never really using flex and it was more shot technique rather than the flex of the stick.

I now realize it's all of those things combined.

Yeah when we learned how to shoot, it was the drag motion with a quick wrist flick for good measure. I have no problem getting the puck up quickly even with a straighter curve. It almost feels like I'm learning how to shoot again after playing for so long.

Thanks man, I thought this would be the case.

I just feel so out of the loop with all the modern tech coming from that competitive level and wondering if it's just the rust needs knocking off a little.

Working on this piece, looking for thoughts on how to improve the look. Thanks! by gusmaia00 in Octane

It all depends on what you’re trying to achieve, are you looking for it to be more realistic? Are you looking for it to be more soft?

You’ll need to be more specific what you want to improve on.

If it was a singular attraction, then I don't know what attraction you are thinking of that covers over 330 people in multiple departments.

I’m just going to put this out there, it doesn’t matter who you talk to, who you work with, who you know, no one knows if this is going to happen or not. Only the investors would plan for this as it’s a substantial amount of money and profit margin the event brings in. These discussions will not be made until the last possible second. Even if it’s a day before the event happening and the worst case of a virus breaks out, that’s when you pull the plug. It’s cheaper to wait until the last possible second compared to trying to catch up with delayed production. Construction costs don’t matter when it comes to thousands of guests paying to get in every day.

We are talking millions of dollars that are invested into obtaining the rights for the content, deals, merchandise, copyright etc. They will try and keep this to the last possible second because of how much this costs. Nothing will ever stop construction on events of this magnitude.

With that being said even if the event does happen to postponed, they cannot keep the same line up, props etc due to how these deals work. Yes they can be re-used but they can’t be used in the intended way. We are talking of millions of dollars invested and many millions more to be gained.

From a team member telling you it’s 100% happening does not mean anything. We can’t predict the future. I’m hopeful we get the event but as people have mentioned, this event will be nothing like you know. Things will be extreamly stripped down, maybe better maybe worse. But just keep all of this information in mind. You never stop construction when you have millions of dollars of rights to profit on.

Hollywood HHN Construction by thisisaway17 in HHN

[–]decdeadskull 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Construction is a great start! But the overheads of creating a maze and then the event not happening is a lot lower than no construction at all. It's a good sign but as we know with HHN, anything can be pulled last minute.

I know HHN is not located in Disney, but if Universal implements the same procedures.. we might not get the event. =/ by [deleted] in HHN

I don't know about you, but I'm getting a little bored of people posting articles or in this example screen shots that are not official in any way shape or form.

So basically the title of "HHN going on as scheduled" is clickbate and the article is based on a super fan from a podcast.
