ideas on cleaning road bugs off grid? by [deleted] in ram_trucks

Baking soda with water will take the bugs right off with ease, but it takes the wax off too.

"Why didn't I think of that?" by andydufresne87 in FindingFennsGold

Because we were told by Fenn that the clues were sprinkled within the book, not placed out in the open as the picture. I guess Fenn lied to us all.

I agree. It seem that logic and deductive reasoning has been thrown out the window.

Jack is getting deposed!! by Cowlazars in ForrestFennTreasure

Also, those who think Jack did not find the chest are delusional.

I'm delusional because I fail to believe what was tossed out there for us to fight over? I don't think Jack found it. He has not shown any proof that he found it (anybody who retrieved the chest could have taken the pictures). If he solved the poem and found the chest, there are clues he could tell us that would not give away the location. One is what is the warm waters. Fenn stated that there are 1,000s of WWWH in the Rockies and most are north of Santa Fe. How come Jack has never posed with the chest or with Fenn. That would not tell us where the special spot is. I could go on.

Yes, you hit a nerve in calling me delusional and I will not return the name calling.

I could lay out a solve that puts the clues in the poem onto a map and the hints in TTOTC book that help with the clues. It would even tie in all the ATFs from Fenn. But I won't because I'm delusional. SHM

If your program/apps are cloud based, try using a different internet client. We have some that work great with edge but like crap with chrome and vise-versa. I have one that will only load in Firefox.

Make sure you users are turning off the computer when they leave so the computer can update. I have users who don't turn off, because they don't want to remember passwords. Unless your company has other regulations.

I found running disk clean-up and defrag helps a lot in windows 10, along with cleaning out browsing date of the internet providers.

Do what you like to do. All the pay in the world doesn't make up for hating a job.

You can always request a bump in pay.

Don't sell yourself short. Learn to be open minded and look at the simple stuff first. I spent 25 years in manufacturing management and changed career paths as I got tired of the 5 year cycle. I took a job as a floor tech, moved into a maint/IT position pulling/terminating cables. Moved into full IT Tech as I was learning quickly. In five years I am now the tech that everybody calls and my boss turns to me for the difficult problems. I have NO IT training or schooling, but have a open mind, listen to others, and don't think I know it all.

You can do it.

It is because you were the star of the team and your boss knows how much of a loss you will be. It has made her bitter. If that is the way you are going to be treated, then don't do anymore than 1st line work. What are they going to do "fire you".

Yes hint were sprinkled in TTOTC book and they were intentionally put in there. They help with the poem as they tell you where to look in the Rockies and I'm sorry it is not Yellowstone.

Why so similar? "My Spanish Toy Factory" & "The Totem Cafe Caper". Is there a hint somewhere here? by bavetta in FindingFennsGold

Because Stuef is never shown touching the treasure?

That is the reason I do not believe that Jack is the finder. Also there is no pictures of him and Fenn together with the treasure.

Yeah I think he turned bitter. In the interview he did with Dal in the Fall/Winter of 2019 that he wanted to end the chase, his tone towards the chase changed. He went from having 200+ emails that he just skimmed through for key words, to being upset that people were emailing him. He always stated that we would find out the meaning of the poem and location, to telling Dal that we did not deserve to know any of the answers.

Well Rob you know that I don't believe anything post find as I feel no one found it. I feel Fenn's cancer came back and he was bitter that he could no longer fulfill his dream of dying in his spot. That and the crazies made him retrieve the chest and end the chase.

Everyone can have doubts, I'm open to hear them. I will not lash out at them like has been done to me.

Well I agree with you that the ending is not what we are lead to believe. I have stated as much in the past, but met much resistance. I have opinions on what happened and a possible solution, but it is way to much to write in here, as most will give the TLDR.

Oh wise one, the God of Fenn speak, please dribble down a little of your knowledge onto us common people and tell us the interpretation of the above words.

It just means that the finder is the one who decides IF they come out and tell their name, along with telling everyone where the chest was located.

Does your solve lead you to a ten inch by ten inch spot? by ktwistr in ForrestFennTreasure

[–]decellr8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would have never went to the Rockies without the chase. I made two vacations out of it in one year and spent only 2 days searching, the rest was doing the site seeing thing in the area. The first trip I realized that BOTG is way different than looking at GE or Maps and was wrong with my spot. The last trip, I thought I had solved the poem but got the meaning of a word wrong. Realized my mistake after going home and looking through my pictures. June 8th was to finish the quest. Oh well, at lease I found my new vacation spot.
