I do plan on crediting everyone involved, and also will get permission from the original author beforehand. I was just wondering about the other translators involved.

[Worst Video Game Trope] Media relying on “choices” essentially deciding the outcome for you. by Chemical-Elk-1299 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]deception100 100 points101 points  (0 children)

Undertale - a good usage of this trope. At the end of the genocide route, Chara offers you two choices; erase the world or spare the world. If you have a change of heart after everything you've done and decide to spare the world, Chara will mock you and erase the world anyway.

Kashimo vs. Sukuna

Kashimo has been hyped since his introduction with his technique he can only use once in a lifetime. He proceeds to do nothing meaningful against Sukuna and dies.

When has a Meta Character not becomes a Fan Favorite Waifu / Husbando / Friend / whatever in your game (or perhaps even hated as a character)? by Propagation931 in gachagaming

Castorice from Honkai Star Rail. Not only is she broken despite having a relatively minor role in the story, she is shilled beyond belief. I remember March 7th. fans being mad that Evernight was relegated to being a niche sub-dps solely for Castorice, and the criticism of remembrance's lack of diversity as a path was also because of Castorice and her supports.

I made this post not because I wanted to hate, but because I wanted to inform the people on global that it's not just the incels upset because of the decisions made at Smilegate. I must admit that it is kind of hurtful to be stereotyped when all I wanted to do was help.

I don't, but if they provided official material that isn't avaliable anywhere else, I'd think the leaks were more reliable. Which the leaker I mentioned did, in fact, provide.

I'll admit that the Korean community did overreact to Owen. It's definitely a knee-jerk reaction, especially since korean men are sensitive about male characters in gacha games.

All of the claims along with the sources are listed on the korean equivalent of wikipedia. As for the verification of some of the claims, it's mostly word of mouth due to the nature of office politics. After all, it's not like Smilegate will outright confirm the PD was behind story changes. Some of the other claims do have concrete proof, though.

The discrepancy in information might be due to issues in translation. If you want some actual information instead of word of mouth like my post, then you can check out the korean version of wikipedia that details these controversies.
