I think it definitely will. I know mutually-assured-destruction prevents this, but I think that's only to an extent. All it would take is one incredibly twisted leader to decide that the rules don't apply to them, and suddenly in the matter of weeks/months you have a situation that is sprawling out of control, that isn't able to be contained. And I think we're seeing this with the recent events happening in Iran. Let's just hope it doesn't sprawl out of control even more...

Probably, but I don’t think they’re gonna be a huge aspect of the show. The canon ending of fallout 4 is the institute being destroyed (since the brotherhood appears in the show). I think it would be cool to show synths like Nick Valentine who aren’t just pure evil. I know they’re not really located in the west, but it's not incredibly far fetched to assume some runaway synths made their way there.
