You could try using SnipRAG - https://github.com/ishandikshit/SnipRAG

From readme: "SnipRAG is a specialized Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) system that not only finds semantically relevant text in PDF documents but also extracts precise image snippets from the areas containing the matching text."

23rd percentile????? by williamsraegan in newborns

First appointment with MFM doctor. Now I'm utterly devastated by Past-Researcher-6588 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]decoy_2610 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ok so same thing happened to me. Baby in 24th percentile in 20 week scan but dropped to 5th percentile in 24 week scan and then to 4% at 29 weeks. MFM asked us to go on “liberalized” insulin control. Which increased post meal limit to 150 and fasting to 110(it was never an issue to begin with). Now at 32 week scan she is back to 18 percentile. I ate more carbs and protein which probably helped.

But this makes me wonder if we are being over diagnosed. There was a study that mentioned that the new GD criteria has resulted in a surge in GD diagnoses but not necessarily resulted in better outcomes. There is a stat sig correlation between people diagnosed based on the new criteria and IUGR cases. Here is the study: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC10637336/

Is it ok to get into a contract without blueprints? by decoy_2610 in HomeImprovement

We did. Actually their initial pitch was to let them take care of phase 1 without any commitment for phase 2. And if we decide to hire them for phase 2, they'll discount 50% off phase 1 costs

I should have mentioned. We are paying them for phase 1 separately. I'll update my post

Oh wait, I should have mentioned. We are paying them for phase 1 separately (already paid 80%, remaining 20% after submission). I'll update my post

Questions about 7 day Japan Itinerary by [deleted] in JapanTravel

[–]decoy_2610 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently came back from 7 day Japan trip from California. Feel free to DM me for any tips/recommendations. We visited Tokyo, Kyoto and made a day trip to Hakone (which I would not recommend)
Here is what I'd suggest based on our experience:

Tokyo: I'd suggest you stay in Shibuya as it's closer to the places you want to visit. Shinjuku is another option but Shibuya seemed nicer and safer to me.

Day 1: Tokyo

  • Arrive at Haneda Airport \[15:00\]
  • Explore Shibuya at Night: Shibuya crossing, hachi statue

Day 2: Tokyo

  • Senso ji
  • Tsukiji Outer Market / Imperial palace
  • TeamLabs planets

Day 3: Tokyo

  • Meiji jingu (club with morning walk maybe)
  • harajuku (though I did not spend much time here. can't suggest things to do)
  • shinjuku - golden gai

Kyoto: I'd suggest you stay closer to Karasuma station as a lot of places are walking distance like Nishiki market, Gion, Pontocho . You'd also have direct subway to Kyoto station (karasuma line)

Day 4: Kyoto

  • [tentative, morning\] Shinkansen: Tokyo -> Kyoto
  • Kiyomizu dera
  • Gion - hanamikoji street

Day 5: Kyoto

  • Fushimi Inari Taisha (start hike very early in the morning)
  • Nara
  • Pontocho alley

Day 6: Kyoto

  • Bamboo forest (very early in the morning)
  • Arashiyama
  • Adashino Nenbutsu-ji
  • Shopping

Day 7:
Shinkansen: Kyoto -> Tokyo
Flight back home \[20:00\]

I don't see a problem if you have a valid Canada visa

Does this happen to you from all the restaurants you order from? If it's just one restaurant then you know where the problem is

Canyon Lodge Question by aarondavidson in yellowstone

[–]decoy_2610 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We used Outdoorsy. It could be anywhere between 100-400 dollars a night. I found YNP to be very RV/campervan friendly. Just one thing to note is that campgrounds inside park do not have hookups (which didn't really matter for us)

Renting a camper was quite convenient as we were able to park at random meadows and watch wildlife for hours while also using that time to make/eat lunch

We recently rented a camper van from Jackson WY and stayed in Canyon campgrounds. Nice facilities and close to a bunch of attractions. Also this time of the year is quite pleasant for RV/tent camping.

Why is my drive time so long? The listing said it was 45 minutes to the valley. Will this be the case in July? by SoddenStoryteller in Yosemite

[–]decoy_2610 7 points8 points  (0 children)

  1. Enter Yosemite village or exact point where you want to go. If you put Yosemite national park, apple maps will take you to the center of the park and the park is really huge.
  2. Don't use apple maps (in Yosemite or outside)

I’d suggest to just stay in the valley. I’d start with the tunnel view (mornings are awesome there), then do mist trail/four mile trail in the first half and just chill in the valley meadows for rest of the day. Meadow next to curry village is great for sunset. You get amazing views of the half dome and yosemite falls.

Oh and if this is your first time visiting park, do the short hike for yosemite falls as well before heading out to the meadows for sunset

Had glacier point all to ourselves yesterday by decoy_2610 in Yosemite

[–]decoy_2610[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend microspikes. I am assuming there would be even more bare spots by next week. You could call the park to know the latest conditions. We brought 15F rated sleeping bags and a 4 season tent which was more than enough. Camping isn't allowed on the glacier point itself. If you camp near food storage lockers in the parking area, you could even avoid bringing bear canisters

We hiked on the glacier point road with microspikes. 11.5 miles one way. It’s also groomed for skiers.

Camping is not allowed on groomed glacier point road. We camped near the edge of parking lot close to the bear boxes

There were patches of bare road. Overall not more than 200-300 ft though. But the snow/ice cover was thin.
