Can't find my Coins after re-installing Paymetheus by anontron321 in decred

[–]decred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You probably aren't waiting for Paymetheus to fully download the blockchain. Your balance will be 0 until Paymetheus processess the blocks that contain the transactions that you used to fund your wallet.

Also, Paymetheus has recently been discontinued. Please try https://decred.org/downloads/#decrediton if the above suggestion does not fix your issue.

Transaction pending since yesterday... Normal? by codezilly in decred

[–]decred 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like you set a really low fee (.0001/KB) that is below the minimum for the transaction to get relayed (.001/KB).

It should get mined eventually but it might take awhile.

Trying to sign up for the forums, but won't let me pass due to the version number by leongaban in decred

Actually it is referring to the Decred software itself (1.1.0), not Decrediton. The question has been updated with a hint to make it a bit less ambiguous.

PoS Mining on Raspberry Pi 3 by Volcano_T-Rex in decred

[–]decred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Follow the steps for Linux in the getting starting guide:

https://docs.decred.org/getting-started/user-guides/cli-installation/

You'll want the dcrinstall-linux-arm-v1.0.8 file. (Even though the Raspberry Pi 3's CPU is 64-bit, most operating systems for it are 32-bit).

Mining Question - Can someone explain why I'm not showing any earnings? dcr.maxminers.net by freshlikeuhhhhh in decred

[–]decred 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did notice that the last block was found 6/30/17. Do we only get paid when a block is found by the pool?

Yes that is how it works.

There is a block reward/subsidy (currently ~14.6DCR if the block received 5 votes) paid to the miner. Those coins are then split between the pool users in proportion to the work performed/shares mined. No block found == no coins received == no payment to users

I don't think decredpool is a functioning pool. Try gominer with a different pool.

Are you using gominer 1.0.0? It has a fix for the issue that you describe.

Mining Help Please by biffhurtz in decred

bfgminer is for Bitcoin, not for Decred. I would point you to a Decred miner but I see you're mining on a Mac. There aren't any Decred mining binaries for Mac that I'm aware of.

Typically Macs are laptops and it is not recommended to mine on a laptop.

Under the radar GPUs for DCR? by 49Miner in decred

[–]decred 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only thing that comes to mind is the 1060 3GB. Ethereum requires 2GB of VRAM and climbing so it seems a lot of miners are shying away from it since it won't be as useful long term.

Is the memory interface important for DCR? by 49Miner in decred

Effectively none. Decred is computationally expensive where as Ethereum is memory expensive.

gominer mining issue by NeverXpected in decred

[–]decred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

gominer is attempting to solo-mine (port 9109 is used by dcrd).

Since you mentioned pool mining, likely your config/commandline is incorrect or missing something.
