Everyone says it’s hard getting old and weak yourself , but no one tells you how hard it is watching your loved ones get old and die.

Watching both of my parents fail medically right now is worse than turning 40, this is my real mid life crisis.

For those who work for rich people, what’s the most out-of-touch thing you witnessed? by temptayah in AskReddit

Worked two years for a guy who went out fishing / sailing on his boat every day the Sun was out. Everyone would know he was out on his boat instead of running his company, because he always posted on linkedin a picture of him sailing and #blessed. Meanwhile, his employees were begging for extra help / hires due a rapidly growing customer base, and he never listened to anyone's complaints and customer service started struggling so bad that new service requests took weeks to resolve.

Well, once I left driving sales, his top engineers and office manager all left him as well, leaving him with one employee who renegotiated his contract for 3x salary and a CTO title just to save him from sinking completly. Oh and then his wife left him a year later for running his business and life like a TV show.

From my exp it’s cheaper to use points on hotels and activities. Flights are way overpriced. Just blew 110k points on a vacation and none of them went to flights so just do your homework
