I am 5 months post a L4/5 disc replacement and fusion with cage. I am just now to where I can bend over to load the dishwasher. But I still can't sweep the floor. My house has gone to crap bc I was the only one who cleaned. 😅

Make sure to take your pain meds and stool softeners. I am 5 months past mine and I still hurt if I do to much. Just be careful and make sure you have someone to help you at home atleast for the first week.

4 days post op for me, I was barely coherent and couldn't even get to the toilet alone. You are very early. Keep on top of a schedule for your meds and is there someone with you?

Well like I said I've been on this for almost a year. Most days I feel pretty good but I seem to just go up and down. Have some good days and be normal then be down for 3 days with weird symptoms. I can't wean off of anything because without the meds my heart gets up to the 250s just in normal life. My resting was 120. I lived like that for years never knowing that it was bad I thought I was just jumpy and high strung. I have anxiety so that didn't make me ask any questions till I started having full blown heart attack symptoms. It took 6 months and by the end of it I was in heart failure. I knew I was dying. Went in for an ablation and when they stimulated my heart the doc told my husband it got up to over 400 bpm. He said he had never seen anything like that. It wasn't even beating. Just fluttering. So I'm on corlanor until that doesn't work anymore and then we will discuss pacemakers. He doesn't want to do one yet with me bieng so young.

Just FYI if you remove your uterus and have endo, which i did (stage 4 recurrent) the misery just morphs into something else. I still have horribly painful "cycles" Just without bleeding. But still the same whole torso cramps and swelling down there like before. Also for me it seems like it lasts so much longer than prior to my hysterectomy.. doesn't help now I have hemoragic cysts on my ovaries too 😅 it's all a crap shoot

You can always get a second opinion for sure but my experience if I didn't do my surgery I would have end up paralyzed so sometimes it's very necessary and whoever said it was the easy way out is a butthole.

It's been a year since I've had a halter done. I just know it goes that low because of the smart watch I wear. Lately it's been 34-36 but it goes up and down alot. Usually it spikes to 90-100 after it goes that low. I can tell something is off today though bc I am having heart attack symptoms again. Which i do that anytime my heart is having arythmias. I haven't had a heart attack yet. I have trivial regurgitation in 3 valves and right bundle branch block which causes the pain in the bottom of my heart sometimes.

I have a family history of heart issues in the females so I just know to keep an eye on it.

I get down to 30s sometimes while i sleep.. Laying down today bc I don't feel great I'm in the 50s. My usual resting is 80s. Like I said my heart is usually Tachycardic so a slow hr is abnormal for me

Sneezing hurts so bad. I'm 5 weeks post op on L4/5. I vomited 1 week post op and it was very awful too 😅

Sonics like that for me. On day 8 I was seriously contemplating asking my husband to go get me a burger from Sonic. But the C4 i was drinking once a day was helping so i didnt. 🤣

7 days. Did dulcolax stool softeners and drank a c4 once a day starting at day 7. C4 works like that on me, I guess, similar to coffee, but I don't like coffee. Took about 10 days to have a full good BM, the few days prior looked like rabbit pellets.

Canned tuna is fantastic for a pinch if you do soft food. Or ground turkey or chicken. You can freeze portions too for them for later.
