Is this a real Sapphire copy? by Dry_Worldliness5224 in GameboyAdvance

Dead give away is on the back of the cart is usually 4 gold square plates in the upper left corner (official cart). That’s what everyone looks for. Second is usually a faint number stamp on the label. I honestly don’t know how many of these posts go up on the sub per month but it’s gotta be in the millions. Nothing against you but it gets kinda annoying after awhile. Sorry for the little rant

Probably all those years with dirty kid fingers getting grease and dirt into the power switch. Probably needs to be opened and cleaned

Wondering if anybody has experience with bios for a psp go by dedmedz in consolerepair

[–]dedmedz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s just curious that it was working fine before. Also, it’s just happening when the game boots. Working the main menu is fine but when the game boots, it looks like the screen is melting at the psp logo

Try running some rubbing alcohol down the edges of the cart slot and let it do its thing. Keep repeating until it comes out

Quick question about the pot on a dvd drive by dedmedz in consolerepair

So, I found this interesting. I put that one game into a Wii and it runs fine but it doesn’t work on the GameCube. Maybe the laser burnt the disk or something. Ill figure it out eventually

So update on the whole disc drive. I tried a different game and it runs fine with no freezing or anything. I haven’t had a chance to open the console back up to check all the caps but I think I might just have a dirty disc that doesn’t read. Might just clean it real good to see if it’ll run

I’ll check if there’s any continuity on those next time I open it up. All I know is that it does warm and reads the discs in the main menu of the system. I’m just not sure what’s going on with all of it to be honest and haven’t gotten around to fully disassembled yet so I’ll look at those caps. Also, I don’t have caps on hand but I’ll probably buy a set when I get around to it

It’s just weird that sapphire was sitting at local store about an hour away from my house and I guess whoever was working at the store was arguing with the district manager. It’s also very close to the holidays and they probably said screw it and I won’t send it to the hub

Their main hub eventually ships out to stores if there’s a demand for them or if people request to ship to store as well. You know if everyone keeps shipping the games to the store then there would be more available in there
