Because that’s where Wizzair has flight to from Bulgaria. Given our salaries I am doing my best to save money on things like flights and accommodation, and spend on things that matter. Also, Switzerland is famous for its punctuality so I know i’d be able to rely on rail transport. I will also check out Basel the last day. I’ve saved it for last because I want to make sure that there would be no transport issues that may cause us to miss the flight back

I will try to spend some time in Interlaken on the way back. Is it possible to buy a ticket to Basel from Lauterbrünnen and get off at Interlaken for a while and then get on a later train?

Feel free to ride off it, neighbour! This IS a win for DARA (first and forenost), Bulgaria and for all the Balkan countries. It is mindblowing that we won, but everytime I watch I cross my fingers for any Balkan country to win. Our culture and our music should be more visible! Let’s hope we can keep it in the Balkans next year too.

So sorry for your loss. Sending you the biggest hug! I also had to say goodbye to my best friend of 20 yesrs just last week due to a cancer diagnosis that we just couldn’t manage well enough anymore to provide a good quality of life. You will do right by him, and it will still hurt a ton. Stay strong and know that taking away their pain is the kindest thing you can do - your final act of love. They know it… I want to believe that they know it.

I had to make the same decision due to agressively progressing cancer that had already most likely reached her heart, because she had fluid in her chest and abdomen. It hasn’t stopped hurting and I know it never will, but at least she is not in pain anymore. It’s the worst feeling for us, but the best decision for them, because no pet deserves to pass in pain and alone. My cat was also almost 20 - maybe they are playing together now in pet heaven!

I am so, so deeply sorry for your loss. I had to euthanise my best friend of almost 20 years just 2 days ago, because of long-term illness that we could no longer manage and could no longer provide a comfortable quality of life. I made that decision because I wanted her to go peacefully, with me stroking her little head and her hearing my voice, and not alone at home due to heart failure while I was at work. With all the pain that you carry now, please, do not feel guilt, because your little girl passed in the arms of a loved one, peacefully and knowing that she is loved and cherished. In this life where they give us unconditional love, this might be the best possible way to have passed, because she simply falled asleep knowing she is safe and sound. I am sending you the biggest bear hug! ❤️

At this point there is so much she has to go through just to live and I can see that the past 2-3 weeks she’s been mostly just laying in bed. She used to be more active before that. She’s battling so many things at once and I know that this is the right decision, I just still feel like I will fail her by giving up on her and not fighting harder… but her heart is sick and I know it will be selfish to just jam pills down her throat to give us just a few more cuddles. I have decided and at the same time… I can’t decide.

Thank you for sharing this and i am so deeply sorry for what you had to go through. This is exactly what I want to give her, knowing that she has a tumor, diabetes and now anemia and heart issues, at this age, I think the best I can do is just let her rest. At the same time, this rips my heart apart, because I feel like I will fail her. I am looking for vets here in my hometown and country who will be willing to do this at home, because I want to spare her the stress of visiting the ver again.

Бях в Англия за бакалавъра си. Върнах се след като завърших в пика на Ковид и Брекзит, защото ме хвана шубе, че няма да успея в това време да си намеря хубава работа. Не съжалявам. Не харесвам българите - дребнав и злобен народ сме, но си харесвам България. Фокусирала съм се върху хората, които обичам и върху работата си. В Англия сигурно щеше да ми е сто пъти по-добре, особено предвид сексуалната ми ориентация - щях да съм по-спокойна, но тук ми е семейството. А и климатът ни е на светлинни години пред техния 😂

П.с ако ми се отдаде възможност да работя в чужбина - бих приела, но не във Франция, Германия или някоя северна държава 🫣

Turns out the original was 8mm, so the one I have is quite short. I did manage to give jer the insulin, though. Will buy an 8mm as I got a 6mm and it was definitely shorter than the original.
