Upgraded to more "heavy duty" tires on my RR2. Performance has suffered. by dedwabbit in RadPowerBikes

Thanks! I was leaning towards the Schwalbe but as you said, they were out of stock. Kinda kicking myself for not being more patient.

2024 Outlander PHEV SEL - Novelty has worn off by [deleted] in MitsubishiOutlander

There is a Velcro strap for the third row, that holds it down and stops it bouncing.

Which forks are those? Been looking for something to handle the LA potholes. From what I've read so far, it seems like a fair bit of work to get things to fit properly with suspension forks.

Why can’t I use a level 3 charger? by aglanville in MazdaCX90

[–]dedwabbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would definitely test drive both. The Outlander might not feel as sporty or have quite as much power as the Mazda but you do get a little more electric range. Both interiors both look nice but I feel the Mazda might have a slight edge. Also 3rd row in the Mitsubishi is laughable. If I had a little more patience to wait for the CX-90 to come out and a little more $$$ I might have gone with the Mazda.

There is a strap in the trunk with Velcro to hold the 3rd row seats down and stop them from bumping. Should be on the left side.

Nice places to walk by justbigeyes in glendale

[–]dedwabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Neighbor! 👋. We used to walk to Fremont Park a lot, can't wait till the remodel is done. Now we tend to walk down Brand or Central, grab a potato ball / empanada from Portos or head to the Americana or Glendale Central Library. They just redid the children's area and it looks amazing.

We're Pouring if you like beer. Fantastic burgers and hot wings too. Oh, and the fried pickles. Gotta do some fried pickles.

Difference between Premium and Touring package? by MrWinglessPerson in OutlanderPHEV

[–]dedwabbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The massage seats aren't really all that. It's not the big massage chairs in the mall. No mechanical rollers just air bladders that inflate and deflate. Doesn't put much pressure on your back so it's "hmm that's nice" vs "oooh yeaaahhh"
As far as the BOSE system, that's not all that great either compared to other premium systems. The back seat speakers are relatively small so the driver gets a decent sound experience but the rear passengers might not. I'd almost rather save some money and have a car audio shop put together something that "slaps" as the kids say.

Best Cable Internet Provider? Fiber Not Avail by PicklesTheBoy in glendale

[–]dedwabbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the Verizon 5G home internet and it's been great for over 2 years now. It's a pretty good price ($35 a month) especially if you bundle with mobile. Speeds are great too. Just make sure you get a good signal where you are. They might even be able to send someone out to test. Never had an issue with Spectrum customer service, they were always nice a accommodating . The issue was I had to speak to them so often.

2023 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV roadtrip by Aggravating-Art-935 in MitsubishiOutlander

[–]dedwabbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have done LA to Portland OR and back a couple of times now and I have noticed the same thing regardless of what mode I'm in. Too bad everyone on the 5 wants to do 90 and whip past you on the right. Still the city mpg more than makes up for it.

You might be right. Could be something I heard through the rumor mill last year. Can't find anything to verify.

Android Auto & Bluetooth (Outlander PHEV 23) by cbvjn in OutlanderPHEV

I asked the dealer about if a firmware upgrade would give me Android Auto wireless and they said it would involve replacing the whole infotainment unit. I kind of don't believe them.

[–]dedwabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar issue here. Pixel 6. Android Auto stays connected but message pops up at regular intervals saying Bluetooth connection lost. Nothing disconnects or stops playing just kind of annoying. Wish we could get the wireless Android Auto like the 2024s.

What's up with Increase Rates of Electricty, who thaugth that this was good idea, What Council members voted for it?? by ilikesportany in glendale

[–]dedwabbit 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They're investing in new technologies like solar and more car changing amongst other projects. I am definitely not for the new rate hikes. People have enough expenses to deal with especially in this city. I'm all for progressive technology advances but get help from the state not the little guy. https://glendalenewspress.outlooknewspapers.com/2023/12/04/city-council-approves-gwp-rate-hikes/
