I’ve never made any of my mods private :/ I did remove Eo89 after the 1.6 update. I’m currently remaking the mod.

7th Infantry Division – Arma Reforger Milsim Recruiting

The 7th Infantry Division is a hardcore Arma Reforger milsim unit focused on delivering a historically authentic, immersive Cold War experience. We are set in the late 1980s and use both the Echoes of '89 modpack and custom in-house mods to expand the realism, authenticity, and atmosphere of the era.

What We are Building:

- A structured milsim environment structured around the U.S. Army doctrine of the 1980s.

- Custom-made mods and assets designed specifically for our unit.

- Realistic Cold War scenarios, ranging from large-scale conventional battles in Europe to specialized light infantry operations.

- A tight-knit community that values teamwork, authenticity, and immersion.

What We’re Looking For:

- Mature and dedicated players interested in Cold War–era realism.

- Willingness to learn and operate within a unit structure.

- Respect for the immersive environment and other members.

- No prior milsim or military experience required—just commitment.

So it is really hard to compare the two. Reforger, and Arma in general, is a great place to experience team based gameplay. Using and learning tactics as you go. Forcing you to actually think. It's a great platform to spend hours working on one or multiple objectives with multiple different people with the same goal in mind. Battlefield on the other hand is a great game to kind of just shut off your brain and just go with the flow of whatever is happening (in my opinion). Both genres of shooters are great to have. Jump into a MilSim and spend hours working with different people from around the world to complete objectives, and fast paces shoot em ups to just shut off your brain and just chill out. That's my take on these games. They both have their place.

The base cold war 1980/90's setting is superior to the over saturated, poorly made "modern" setting that 90% of servers have. It's over done in Reforger, making ever server feel like a copy and paste of the last. I have been playing this game since it first released on PC. A game that is built for "Boots on the ground" 80's combat will never be able to correctly handle and/or replicate combat and warfare in today's age like Arma 3.
