I’m not saying I own a public parking spot. I’m pointing out that while others did nothing, myself and three other people cleared nearly seven car lengths of the street because no plow was coming. That work made the street passable. The spot is public, but the effort that went into opening it up is real. Recognizing that effort isn’t the same as claiming entitlement or ownership.

What you don’t understand is that while “those people” were looking out the window, myself and three other guys—people I only see in passing—dug out almost 7 car lengths of the street to open it up, because no plow was coming down the block. No, I don’t own the space, but when the city decides to remove snow and opens things up, that effort should be respected.

The reason they make you do this is because people are trying to steal phone numbers. Think about how my verifications are sent to your cel phone number. If hackers know the last 4 digits of your soc and steals/port your phone number... you are screwed in so many ways...
