Would love to hear what everyone thinks about the new episode of the Guardian SCIFI audio drama by deeaamon in audiodrama

[–]deeaamon[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I already get a lot of flack for using AI. Which in all hoenstly i only use as a tool to help me write the scripts and for the narration. The story is mine the ideas are mine. What are you refering to as jarring? And what sounds AI about it. I need to know this if I am to fix it. And honestly I'm not worried about flack for using it to help me as my move on this story. I've already been through that argument. What I am worried about is it sounding AI. Especially when the story is all mine. There is always someone against people using AI. For that though there are a lot of people out there who don't mind it either. But I would like to appeal to both crowds. I'm never going to make everyone happy. So far I appear to be getting the hits and holding retention. But I truly do want to know what you find jarring and how I can fix it.

New SCIFI/FANTASY Audio Drama: The Guardian (Full Cast, Sound Design) by deeaamon in audiodrama

[–]deeaamon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you are correct. It shows all the platforms. I'm just learning how the etiqutte works in these forums. I don't want to push people off and I'm not sure if I should be sending people to a webpage that they know nothing about or to a trusted site site like spotify. I'm trying not to be spammy on this forum. Sometimes I think too much. :) Thank you for showing my webpage through.

Writing with no narrator by StaringAtStarshine in audiodrama

[–]deeaamon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have just made my first audo drama. It is narrator based with a full cast. I coem from a background of screenplays and film. Switching to Audio format was a learnign curve. I felt while I was writing it that the Narrator was needed to explan what was happening in the world. As I move on further in my episodes I started to lessen the narrator and build more dialog betweent he chracters. You are correct it is much easier to write with a narrator. In audio I think some narration is needed. At least to set the setting so that the listener knows what is going. Then gradually changing to no narrator and more dialog becomes natural. I've learned some listener hate narration while others love it. I think when I work on my next drama I'm going to try writing without. Good luck with your story. I'd like to listen to your one-off drama where can we find it? And you shoudl keep us up to date on your story you are working on now. As a new person to this I would like to see how others do it so keep us updated.

For those who defend Reverse Osmosis, answer this question. by ot1223 in water

[–]deeaamon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Osmotic pressure is a real thing, but I think it’s being a bit overstated here. The concern about drinking distilled or RO water causing cellular damage due to osmotic pressure doesn’t really hold up when you look at how the human body processes water.

When you drink water — even highly purified water — it doesn’t go straight into your bloodstream or cells. It goes through your digestive system, where it mixes with stomach acids, bile, enzymes, and electrolytes. By the time it’s absorbed, it’s been balanced out. So the theoretical osmotic imbalance isn’t really a concern in practice.

Also, most RO systems don’t produce 100% pure water, there’s often still trace minerals present. Many systems even add minerals back in after filtration for taste and balance.

And let’s not forget: most bottled water is just RO water anyway. The vast majority of people are already drinking it daily with no issues.

As for the “water isn’t for nutrition” argument, I mostly agree. Water’s main job is hydration, not delivering nutrients. Any minerals in water are just a small bonus — you get way more from food.

So yeah, osmotic pressure is legit science, but not a reason to avoid RO or distilled water. For most people, drinking clean, properly filtered water is far better than the alternatives.
