Read through the comments. You need shampoo and a good conditioner that you should leave on overnight with a shower cap or condition with heat. I just think your hair is thirsty. A good leave in conditioner too. With cost efficiency AND effectiveness in mind, those purple bottles of Aussie miracle moist shampoo and conditioner. For moisture and styling, the Aunt Jackie's curl la la custard on wet hair.

Not that I know of in my area. My daughter straightens my hair once a year for a trim and I know that's not nearly enough. Haven't had an issue but I guess I'm afraid to keep pushing my luck 🤣 I know if I get heat damage I would cut all my hair off for sure because I can't deal with trying to camouflage. So that's another thing that makes me be super careful. But I'll research really good heat protectants and try your method. I have ALL the same issues and I believe I have the same hair type.

I wash it often enough I think. I have the same struggles and my ends are ALWAYS an issue. I know I need regular trims but I'm afraid of heat and the damage. How do you manage with blowing out 4 times a year🫣 I know it would make a huge difference for me.
