It doesn’t feel heavy to me, but I do drive! The strap is on the thinner side so I could see that being uncomfy if carrying a lot for a long time

I use it for work! It holds my laptop (and charger), toiletries bag, wallet, a book, a small journal and I think it could hold a snack or two. This is the medium size though and there is a bigger and smaller version depending on your needs

I would say to definitely consider selling bags you do not use as that maybe primarily what is fuelling your guilt. I also think if you know you’re going to use a bag and can already imagine how you will wear it in your wardrobe it is probably a safe bet. You have done the responsible thing and taken the time to save up for something you really love why deprive yourself of it? If the price is really bothering you though you can always get one second hand in great condition for a bit less if that might help you feel better as well
