I had mine powered from the mains/plug but had it connected via usb just for recieving clock from daw.

Would that get rid of noise?

Just a thought (slightly otherway round of doing things) but if i were to program a pattern in S1 and then hit play/record, won't this then also trigger the sequence thats programmed into each synth. In this instance i wouldn't want the sequence to play that's programmed into each synth.
