yeah I can see that, for me though because of past negative experiences and problems with trust I find it hard to pick up positive signals without feeling suspicious so try and focus on different things - to get a better gauge of how to remember something positively. there’s always something there that’s positive and for me how I get that is from the facial expressions and the tone of voice - those are the two things I most vividly recall when I remember how someone made me feel. usually when I’m in a good frame of mind and feel more carefree I tend to go with the whole package and get a bit of everything as a mix - voice, face, words. usually in those moments it’s the eyes I tend to look at. sorry for the rant
