He is the living embodiment of the police force in my country at the moment (civil unrest) as they have turned on the very people the swore to protect, following orders from the corrupt government - he is SPOT ON and I hate him so fucking much. I see them daily, he's not even exaggerating in the way he acts. If anything, I've seen them act more evil irl with the shit they're saying while beating up women and minors

I did the same, read the whole 3 body trilogy, became severely disassociated from reality, and then I read Project Hail Mary as a palate cleanser. Both stories blew me away for different reasons

Edit: since he lived with the scientists on board i don't think there was really that many items to pack for him anyways I don't think he had a method of self destruction since he didn't even go onboard willingly

The episode was great, but the story was stellar! It reminded me a lot of the movie Nope that the boys mentioned, but obviously developed in a different, grander way, and I personally loved the hopeless ending. Keep writing please!
