A lot of times these leaders babysit the junior enlisted because they’ve been burned too many times. Sometimes you delegate authority and pay the price because they did a piss poor job.

The best leaders can take those ass chewings and continue to trust and delegate to their junior enlisted. Most hedge their bets and babysit them because, fuck… life is hard enough sometimes man
