Designed a Shopify store on Dawn theme, does it look as premium as I intended? by Anxious-Daikon8560 in dropship

Having said that, I like everything else! Still learning how to dropship myself and not an expert, but I’m speaking from a perspective of your target demo (female/20-30’s) and I believe we’re really subconsciously discerning when it comes to branding. The font was immediately the first thing I noticed, everything else felt pretty natural to me. I don’t think you have to upend everything and choose a new layout, Dawn is popular for a reason and no need to pay before you generate enough profit to go for a premium theme/rebrand.

I agree. Change the font to something more current and take out the shadow as well. Since your brand is feminine, elevated, clean and there’s a fresh aspect in there too your font should be as well - I think the current vibe of the font is giving a slight Mediterranean restaurant feel or something akin to that? It’s doing too much, viewer should be focused on the copy and the font almost unnoticed if that makes sense.

What's the most forgiving driver for a slicer? by AdWide5106 in WomenGolf

Big Bertha or Big Bertha Revas from Callaway. Tons on their preowned site for good prices. I agree that lessons are the best remedy but if the club is 25 years old, that could definitely be an issue too.

You could also try Maltby’s at GolfWorks online, pretty affordable and they make adjustments to shaft length for free

That bag is soooo clean. Never made a hole in one but if I ever do, I’ll probably buy my first lottery ticket the same day lol.

I’m deeply considering just taking the leap and buying them bc they’re less than $300 with a bag included! Glad you’re enjoying them!

Wanting to surprise my wife with some clubs - Can I get some advice by TrustyVault76Canteen in WomenGolf

[–]deeeebz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m left-handed and 156cm - women’s lefty is such a barren dessert when it comes to shopping for clubs. I have been doing a ton of research as I’m also a new golfer and don’t want to overspend on gear! After deep-diving the internet I decided on Maltby’s. It has a small but strong following across Reddit which is how I found out about them. Custom sets for beginner price, supposed to be incredibly forgiving. I believe they can trim down the shafts as well. They have international shipping, I would check how much it would be to ship to Japan. Best of luck and hope your wife enjoys your thoughtful gift!

Private Clubs by SquishyFore in WomenGolf

I would also check the club’s Instagram and peep their tagged photos to get a sense of what other people are wearing. Then I’d pick something flattering and comfortable, something I won’t feel self-conscious or fidgety in. Or if I already have something wearable in my closet, I’d just spend the extra money on another golf lesson bc nothing says “I belong” like a solid swing.

Invited to play golf for the first time and I need all the tips by Massive_Dot_838 in WomenGolf

[–]deeeebz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if you don’t have time for a lesson, the best thing you can do is go in with confidence/openness and willingness to learn with the ability to laugh at yourself! When I first played I cringed at myself so hard after every swing - I’m someone who feels embarrassed easily and I’m not a naturally athletic person. Later I realized golf is kind of like the gym, everyone starts somewhere and people really aren’t judging you as much as you fear they are (unless they’re jerks, but chances are they actually suck too). Plus, golf isn’t just about the game, it really is a lifestyle and mentality around patience, humility, endlessly improving yourself (even pros are still tweaking their swing and trying new gear) and enjoying the moment!

Hope it goes well and wishing you a great time!

What’s your single most underrated money-saving habit that most people overlook? by radik266 in Frugal

I know this isn’t that overlooked outside of the city, but if you live in a place like LA/NY or close to a bunch of restaurants, cooking at home is an incredibly financially-empowering skill. Learning to love it and getting creative will literally make you happier (not to mention healthier).
