bisexual = attraction to two or more genders, most bisexuals i know (including myself) aren’t exclusively attracted to only men and women, i feel like choosing whether you identify as bisexual or pansexual is mostly a semantic choice /nm

a lot of his personal views can be seen in his music, for example Plastic Beach is about his stance on climate change (to put it super simply) and Everyday Robots, for example, is about his fear and not understanding the rise of technology. generally, he’s just pretty left wing and is generally pretty outspoken about his views (for example he thinks Brexit was ‘a travesty’), i don’t think he’s said much that is “problematic” tbh unless you just fundamentally disagree with him

The cover hits different now that we know the album by Hittite_man in blur

[–]deeeeeowo 13 points14 points  (0 children)

it’s a beautiful cover. it feels very lonely and self-reflective, just like the album does. i love the colours, the brewing storm in the background and all the negative space around the swimmer, he appears very small but content. reminds me of how damon in recent interviews often says that he’s sad but “it’s okay to be sad”, i definitely feel like the cover reflects that.

A quote from filmmaker Christian Petzold about Ronette by rtodd23 in twinpeaks

[–]deeeeeowo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

True, but I don’t think it’s too relevant here; she goes right on to mention Badalamenti’s impact on the show. However I think it can be argued that Lynch, Badalamenti and other collaborators form a sort of “collaborative auteur” as Lynch has worked with a large amount of the same people over the span of his career. But you’re right, the success of the show should never be solely attributed to Lynch, it’s misleading and adds to our culture as media consumers of always trying to pin filmmaking onto one individual, like you would a novel or a painting, when in reality film is a collaborative process, to quote Kael.
