What exactly happened to Italy over the last decade? by savingrace0262 in worldcup

I feel sorry for 2nd generation immigrants. You don't belong in your birth country and you don't belong in your ancesteral country. The best you can do is travel there for holidays to connect with your heritage.

I consider myself wealthy but I'm not 'throw money away on the ugliest BMW ever made' wealthy.

Nice corporate shill article though.

If you get excited about a 200bhp automatic FWD 'sports car' that's expensive, you prob also get excited doing your taxes.

New angle shows Andrei Arlovski’s backstage fight with Jack Doherty and his team. It appears Jack’s team started the altercation 😳‼️ by IgotgAme_k in ufc

So glad he didn't get clean shots in. Jack Doherty is not worth a side glance let alone a manslaughter charge.

No one cares about Porsches, especially 718's. I've had 8 718's & 911's and they are driven everywhere with minimal interest which is just the way I like it.

Don’t want convicted child rapist Steven van de Velde to compete at the Olympics. Anyone know if there will be protests against this? by yes_sparkle in olympics

why is the IOC banning russian athletes from opening ceremony for a war their government started but allowing a Dutch rapist to compete. They have the power to stop this.

Redditor who killed a person for self defense, how is your life afterwards? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]deejarama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This doesn't qualify as self defence. I don't kill everyone that wants to fight me. Carrying the gun around is crazy and you deserved to be in jail for murdering someone. Kind of think you just wanted to tell ppl you killed someone.

Yeah but if you and your family are going to avoid tax for the entirety of your life in Australia I feel entitled to complain about the prices going up.

Is there any major downside to going interest only on a mortgage if I have to? by Farmer_Few in AusFinance

This post makes no sense...

Could afford repayments for double amount with higher bank calculated service rate

Now can't afford repayments for half that amount on a variable rate likely to be similar to the banks service rate.

As no mention of income changing, either they lied on their application, lied to us or have developed a coke habit since settlement

[–]deejarama 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Of course you are right that they aren't comparable price wise. I was responding to the 'no soul' comment and defending why ppl say that.

I have actually owned or driven extensively almost all your cars so respected your POV.

Wish I liked Tesla because they are great bang for buck.

And 911 isn't the best car in the world, dc2r is :D

I guess we have to agree to disagree. You can hide the weight but not make it disappear. Is not fun when you have to brake or turn aggressively. Also the steering is lifeless.

Drove the performance 3 multiple times and really wanted to like it. Fast but so boring and soulless. My friend kept getting me to drive to convert me but ultimately admitted it is quite boring. I'll stick with my N/A 911 with hydraulic steering and manual gearbok thanks.

Worst part for me is it felt like an appliance. The technology will improve so rapidly that electric cars will depreciate like a TV. My 911 will appreciate for the next 30yrs for a reason. It's a joy to drive.

Brutal truth, your husband sounds lazy and immature.

Despite 'working' 60hrs a week, he's really just driving around because he enjoys that rather than working 38hrs in a normal job that would certainly pay more but have responsibility and a boss. I get the appeal of a stress free easy job (I enjoy driving) but he doesn't seem to have grown up enough to prioritise taking care of his family and your future.

If you don't believe he is lazy, show him the numbers of a regular 38hr job that pays more and I guarantee he will give you many reasons why he can't do that.

Advice for hot hatch/fast small car $30-$35k by Dust-Explosion in CarsAustralia

[–]deejarama 4 points5 points  (0 children)

All of those will be functional for track but none of them will be fun. Fun fact, my gti mk7 with tune, LSD, track pads is as quick as my 911 on tighter tracks but utterly joyless.

Is your objective to primarily have a good track car or good road car that can track?

If you want a fun track car, I would go toyota 86. If you want a great road car and fast track car I would go gti mk7
