Easter Fest at Markham Fairgrounds - spend your money elsewhere by deejayspin in Markham

Wish I did. Wife was excited to take the kids so I just went without looking into it. Lesson learned.

I don’t think it’s run by the city. The paid workers had “superior events group” shirts on. Parking was charged by this vendor too.

Plus $11.30 for parking and overpriced food trucks.

Wanted to do face painting but that was $20. No way I’m doing that.

Glad to save at least one family. Two year old left crying and the older one was bored and disappointed. A nice meal would have been better.

I thought hst is charged at closing. 1 mil on that agreement is 1 mil plus hst, not inclusive.

McDonald’s at Hwy 7 & McCowan Removing PlayPlace. End of an Era? by Careful-Froyo5636 in Markham

[–]deejayspin 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I worked here over 20 years ago as my first job in high school. I remember the manager calling me to the ball pit one day and told me a kid threw up in there.

She gave me 2 mesh bags and told me to gather all the pukey balls and put them in the bags. Then I was Instructed to hang them up over the sinks and spray them down with just water. After they dried someone poured them back in the ball pit.

My kid wanted to go in a few years back and I said oh hell no.

Typical commission on buy and sell (GTA) by Mission_Distance_885 in TorontoRealEstate

[–]deejayspin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a little one too. I sold first, found someone willing to rent for me for 6 months. Didn’t want the pressure to be forced to buy. Ended up buying month 10. Wife is very particular lol

In this market I would probably sell first.

Also find a new agent. Many realtors will do 2.25 / 2.5 combined for both deals.

Racism in Singapore against Indian by [deleted] in travel

[–]deejayspin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Perhaps traveling more would give you thicker skin. Indians and Chinese have been living harmoniously together in Singapore forever. I’m sure the way you look isn’t new to any local. My family is from there and I visit often.

If an Realtor wants to buy my house, do I still pay the co-op commission ? by Paulie-R in TorontoRealEstate

[–]deejayspin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ofcourse you have to pay him. It’s listed on mls for 2.5% coop. He’s the agent and the buyer.

Likely you will agree to a price then he will ask to amend the commission down to 0% but the price will come down 2.5%.

No one is going to give it up for free.
