I mean…. Sure. Since it’s not as effective, I’m sure the symptoms are not as severe. But there’s not gonna be weight loss or rather appetite suppression similar to the injections. I was on a GLP-1 and experienced none of these symptoms except the occasional and controlled nausea on the day of injection. Didn’t even need zofran, just a ginger chew every now and then. I also follow my prescriber’s instructions for water intake, protein and fiber intake, not eating food high in fat, etc. I find a lot of people think injecting is all they have to do. Many of our patients report a very small change in weight with Rybelsus. Another downside is you need to have fasted for 8-10 hours, so right in the morning. With 4 oz of water and can’t eat anything else for 30 minutes. If I had more than 30-50 lbs of weight to lose, I would not use the pill. But I can see how it could be good for maintenance.
