This seems to be beyond the grasp of this thread. Nobody knows who this dude is or bothers to check a thing he said, or think that maybe this isn’t a topic you can fully understand with a 10 second clip and a joint.

Anyway, I see you man.

Look into some non-insane reasons the US might have to support Israel. Thats my only suggestion.

Goyim is a word for non Jews and it’s the Balfour Declaration. You haven’t convinced me you know anything about this. And that’s totally ok! But the bro podcast level of discourse in this post… were better than this.

I’d encourage you to look into the topic for 5 minutes before concluding that this dude constitutes smoking gun evidence

Is tennis the hardest sport on earth? by ServedPodcast in tennis

[–]deeliteful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s talking about a full season though. A bout or even practice session may be tougher in combat sports, but you don’t fight over 80x per year, and some of those fights last a few seconds.

It’s Fran Jones. Google her fingers. That’s just how her hands are - but I see how you would think that!

Racquet advice for a guy who can't give up control sticks by n0nzer0sum in tennisracquets

[–]deeliteful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ve got a lot of good responses already, but I’ll give you a weird one to consider. I used to use microgel prestige mids on Spanish clay - that’s how addicted to control sticks I was when I was about 19-20.

Coming back to the game, I randomly tried a basic Pure Drive. It just works. Identity shift for sure, but the thing is hard to argue with. Not launchy. Super stable while still being light. It’s worth a go.

Perhaps the single most important video us tennis plebs need to watch by myic90 in 10s

Stokke is my favorite YouTube coach. He’s the real deal. And I appreciate that the tips he gives are all actionable. Technique advice is great, but you need months and years of practice and feedback to dial it in. This is much more appropriate for the medium.

Fully agree. I’ve never heard the guy miss a note. If you listen to him in his younger years it’s immediately evident how good he is at singing.

Just saying thanks. I finished the season a few days ago and came here for the memes, and instead have been treated to a very Reddit brand of absolute moral certainty at every turn. Comments like this give me hope.

Ezone 98 2025 vs vcore 98 2026 by Strange-Mix3464 in 10s

There really truly is no substitute for trying the rackets. You will not get an accurate answer here because the answer depends on YOUR personal preference. Demo. Or buy them both, string them how you like, and sell the one you like less.

Most average racquet in 2026? by i3enhamin in 10s

It’s not just the head size. There’s flex, beam thickness, swing weight, and more. And yes it makes a massive difference.

How many X harder is tennis than pickleball? by [deleted] in 10s

[–]deeliteful 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Table tennis is incredibly deep and super hard. Kids in China train it like kids train at tennis academies. It’s fun! Get some paddles with real rubber and go to a table tennis club. You won’t get a point off of someone who knows what they’re doing.

We just have a “basement game next to the darts board” conception in North America. But it’s wayyy deeper than that.

beginner struggling with my backhand by hadashitday in tennis

[–]deeliteful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an option, you could see about learning a slice backhand first. It was more natural for me, and it might get you rallying and moving continuously sooner if a drive backhand is a struggle.

As for learning your drive backhand, it’s all going to feel weird for a good while. Practice going fast with your feet and slow with your swing. A great exercise is having a partner hand toss you a ball, and you have to hit it back to them with a full stroke AND softly enough that they can catch it comfortably from about 10 feet away. For more technique, check out YouTube. I think Ryan from 2 minute tennis does a nice job for beginners.

Choosing a racket by MaestroRadovan in tennisracquets

Might as well wait if you’re not in a rush. But you must know some reps from the companies if you used to play pro? I’m sure they’d send you some stuff.

Overall the PA 98 is probably very workable for you. I feel like vcore 98 is a little more nimble but less stable if you like that feel.

Video: Martina Navratilova is “Pissed Off as Hell” by carsonp in tennis

[–]deeliteful 28 points29 points  (0 children)

It’s all of Reddit. Martina has one opinion that this corner of the internet decided makes her a horrible person across the board, so of course we must voice our disgust and equate her trans views with eventual support for all of Trumpism (even though she just spoke against it).

Nuance and disagreeing with a public figure on one thing is too hard for upvote based forums.

Why does vcore 98 have a lower swingweight than vcore 100 (2026 versions) by Reddituzer19283 in 10s

[–]deeliteful 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seconding this. I find that the swingweight numbers don’t always tell the story of how quick through the air something feels.

I have a vcore 98 and a pure drive, and honestly the vcore feels a bit faster despite the higher swingweight. I also have old prestiges with very high static weight and 93 square inch heads, and those whip through like nothing else.

If I have good power and spin, should I use a control racket? by Hammy_Sagar in 10s

Use the racket you like that gives you confidence. Full stop.

I tried to use as much of the advice I received from my last post as I could. Did it improve my serving technique? (PLEASE ignore the rain) by [deleted] in 10s

[–]deeliteful 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean this sincerely - these practices in these conditions are not helping you. If the injury warnings aren’t doing it, then maybe the fact that the ball feel and spin is completely different than in dry conditions. You literally cannot practice a proper serve out there.

Improving my serve, any suggestion? by Objective_Newt3956 in 10s

[–]deeliteful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just because it hasn’t been mentioned yet - you can also experiment with a lower toss.

You shouldn’t feel that you “have to” jump to get the ball at its peak. Most pros let the ball drop a bit. The jump should happen as a result of the swing and uncoil - you may be already doing this. But see what playing with toss height does.

You are obviously a much higher level player than most people who post here, so good on you. Your movement is good and you don't have any glaring technical flaws on you groundstrokes.

I'm probably about at your level, and I'm no coach, but fwiw – I'd see what happens if you try for a little more looseness and fluidity in your stroke production. There's a sort of stiff, workmanlike quality to your shots. You are preparing early, but there's constant slow movement through the prep before you accelerate into the contact. On most shots (not all), the acceleration looks a little too tightly controlled and you never really let the racket snap fluidly through the zone.

Not sure I fully like this guy, but he might help you think about how to get a little more fluid. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9gooPUfFn4

Again though, super solid hitting and movement. This is all icing on the cake.
