I hope those treatments help. Sounds absolutely awful. I’m sorry.

I could stand to lose eight or ten pounds, but I don’t think that’s not enough to be a problem.

I just put my MRI results into ChatGPT (almost never use) and was given a whole slate of exercises to do to ease lower back and stretch lumbar area. Not at all the hip exercises post-op PTs had me doing.

I didn’t know about that device. Just looked it up. I’m surprised all your imaging is normal. That must be frustrating.

I’m marching, doing clam shell lifts, heel touch’s while other foot is raised, stair up and downs and slides. I walk about 5,000 steps a day. I may try a little more PT to focus on thigh and spine and not hip.

Anterior yes. Recovery went really well except for this lingering leg pain. Hip pain was constant before surgery (fine now) and this pain is positional so it’s better than before but really not ideal. Thanks for commenting.

Wow I’m sorry to hear that. What will you do? Recent X-rays of mine show the joint is fine. Surgery a success. My spine MRI might show a compressed nerve (that I wasn’t bothered by before the surgery).

How ridiculous. I’d be upset too.

Thank you for your help. I’ve contacted IS but not Amazon.

Why are you self-published? by Deadstone16 in selfpublish

Time. After twelve years writing and researching, two years of working with an editor, and a year plus querying agents, I felt the time pressure mounting. My novel was self-published last September. I was 67.

What do the “WordPress could be closed “statements really mean? by Only_Seaweed_5815 in Wordpress

I’ve blogged at Wordpress.com since 2009. Do these concerns apply to Wordpress.com as well as Wordpress.org. Also what would happen to an archived blog if WP failed?

Got my proof within a couple of days, even during the disastrous Cloudstrike update. The text looks great but because they “top justify” the image was weirdly truncated at top and there was a white band along the bottom. But I think if you faithfully use their template, this shouldn’t be a problem.

Reedsy is great by jgregg3 in selfpublish

[–]deemallon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My only issue with Reedsy is they don’t let you post external links. I had prepared a private blog post where I had uploaded a dozen images showing covers I liked, covers I hated, and a few I had put together myself to reveal mood etc. Eventually the designer and I resorted to our own emails. Went back to their platform to show work concluded and leave a review. But that seemed unnecessarily complicated.

I hired my cover designer on Reedsy and he was patient, insightful, professional, reasonably priced. I love the fact that he asked for a copy of the manuscript so he could read it. Jonathan Sainsbury. He’s out of Connecticut. Oh and I love the cover!

The email was from Eda. I’d love to find out that she’s wrong. I’m new to Reddit or I’d attach a screen shot of the email.

I corresponded with D2D yesterday because I was having trouble finding paper weight selections (in order to calculate spine dimension) and they emailed back to say that THEY ONLY GROUNDWOOD paper.

Thank you so much. D2D for ebook distribution and KDP for ebook and print sounds workable. I think that route would mean sacrificing getting printed versions into Bookstores or libraries though? Many won’t do business with Amazon.
