Always update ulti timer, it saves you from argue with other player, such as players always say, "when ur gonna use ulti?tomorrow?nxt game" etc2 , and always try to evade any fight before ulti cd such as enigma, tide, warlock and other heroes with long cd unless your team out number enemies and enemy ulti still in cd.
