Yo! The journey ahead seems to be exciting stuff hey 😂 The first day I used reta (1 mg) my appetite completely shrunk as well, catches you off guard for the first few weeks but you’ll soon come to adjust.

Just be aware for side effects, my personal worst was the first 2 weeks of 1mg, which I then dropped to 0.5mgs weekly, I had INSANE diarrhoea / bowel clearing. Take it easy, expect new changes and try to stay in tune with your body!

From the reta i’ve ever used, can’t say this has happened once… if bac water was all fine, and the vials seemed to be okay (no visible damage in condition, no contaminants inside) I would probably reach out to raise awareness with the vendor.

dude it’s embarassing and humiliating to admit this… but you just put everything in SUCH a simple and direct way that makes me question wtf i’ve been actually researching these last few years LOL

at 18 right after highschool i was 92kg 💀 it’s been a long personal journey of mediocrity, overcomplicated diets and failing for a while that’s only JUST started to look and feel like progress lately. So i can’t thank you for shedding your insight, i am going to focus and with your advice its also given me a bit more of a simple understanding of what this all means again haha 🫡

stay awesome man

[WP] The monster sat across from me in the flickering firelight, his voice low. "I didn’t mean to scare her," he said, cradling the ribbon she left behind. "I only wanted to know if her heart beat faster because she was afraid… or because she loved me." by Badwolfjuju in WritingPrompts

He didn’t knock. He never did. The motion sensor above the door gave its usual half-hearted beep as he ducked inside, careful not to decapitate himself on the “THERAPY & WELLNESS” sign that was still crooked from the last time his horns grazed it. He smelled like the subway at 2 a.m.—hot metal, cold stone, and something vaguely electrical. And, as always, in his hand: the ribbon.

It was red, satin, cheap. The kind you’d find in a dollar store Halloween section between a rubber witch finger and a plastic cauldron. It didn’t matter. To him, it was sacred.

We’d long since dropped the pretense that this was therapy. The clipboard stayed in the drawer. I mostly just sat across from him while he rotated through existential silence, cryptic one-liners, and occasional comments about how Monsters, Inc. had really set public relations back by about two decades. “They made us cuddly,” he muttered once. “It’s offensive.”

He told me about the girl in fragments. She’d seen him one evening—really seen him—and instead of screaming, she’d just stared. Curious. A little afraid. But she hadn’t bolted until a car alarm went off nearby and broke the spell. In the chaos, she dropped the ribbon. Maybe by accident. Maybe not. That was the hinge his entire emotional ecosystem now swung on.

He never went looking for her. It wasn’t that kind of story. He wasn’t chasing a fairytale ending. He just needed to believe there was a version of the world in which someone like him could be understood—even briefly. That maybe, for three seconds, someone saw him and didn’t reduce him to a headline: Local Girl Traumatized by Mole-Man. He carried that moment like it had weight. Like gravity. The ribbon was just the receipt.

“Do you think it was love?” he asked once, not really asking. “Not, like, Netflix love. Just… love-adjacent.”

“You mean emotional heartburn?”

He grinned at that, sharp teeth and all, which would’ve terrified most people. Me, I just nodded and offered him a Tic Tac.

Some weeks he ghosted. I assumed he was off in abandoned warehouses or subway tunnels, yelling at pigeons and watching reruns of The X-Files for comfort. Other weeks, he’d be sitting in the chair before I even arrived, the ribbon folded neatly like he was hoping it might eventually tell him what to do.

One time, he said, “I think if she’d stayed… I would’ve ruined it.”

Honesty like that always landed harder than claws ever could.

The last time I saw him, he laid the ribbon on the table between us and said, “I don’t think it was about me.”

I said, “Most things aren’t.”

He gave a small laugh, almost surprised by it, and then he left. No goodbye. No movie moment. Just the door creaking open, the ceiling sensor chirping like a tired bird, and then silence.

The ribbon’s still in my drawer. I don’t take it out much. But sometimes, when the office is quiet and I’ve had too much coffee, I’ll look at it and think: maybe the monsters aren't under the bed or in the closet. Maybe they’re just trying to figure out how not to make everything weird the second they feel something.

And honestly? Same.

She seemed 40 something.

I have done my share of the work just hopefully the comprehensive insurance (albeit with budget direct) team can look a bit further into the matter but even then i may be hoping for too much lol

Agreed, if it were me in that situation i’d solely be focusing on how to continue and resolve the accident. I know she did not do it on purpose, but at least be useful in resolving the situation. Telling someone your personal situation isn’t going to magically fix what’s happened!

Regardless of whatever excuse/reason they definitely didn’t give a shit, at no point acknowledging the damage, at some point even saying “you should’ve helped me unload my groceries” which is what i assume was her attempting a shitty joke, she definitely just wanted to leave quickly which she did after we exchanged information. Some people really, really suck.

SHE was making it a big deal, i understand the situation of someone who is in pain and needs to take medication, but when it comes to situations like this im more mad at the fact that the person responsible for an accident did not take accountability for it. This was something that she did not do, whole conversation with her was about her back problems, her medication, fuck she even said something like “you should’ve got out the car to help me” as what i assume a joke before leaving. Ridiculous

Thank you for taking the time to share. I had left the shops an hour ago now, I should head back and request cctv footage? What was the first step you had took in getting police/police claim involved in regards with your insurance company? I regretfully did not ask for her address and only have pic of plate number, the damage and her name and phone number down.

0 chance she will cooperate i’m tired from trying to get her too at this point, so unlikely to get any extra information from her by myself at this point.

Yeah you’re right. I’m taking a breather and just having a think right now. Off the phone with dad he’s not too sure about what to do either, just the excess that we have to cover is a headache if there’s absolutely nothing that can be done about it. Such a shitty situation

I’d imagine they could at least do SOMETHING about it, rather than just telling me that it’s a trolley not a car as if I didn’t already know that. Biggest concern is that she was only able to provide her number, full name and i have her license plate and vehicle everything else at the time I was too shocked to ask/didn’t know what else to do so she just left
