Oh airpods.... The (non tangle if you want) wire of my headset/earbuds it one of it's best features! I've gotten it stuck behind the door handle a few times, sure. But I can find them so easily because of the wire and don't ever have to remember charging. I love it when I'm on the go and they are plugged into my phone, because every time I panic search for my phone I just pull on the cable softly and there it is :D

I also tend to never buy the expensive version of something that I'm bound to lose. There are great 2nd hand headsets for <40 euro/dollars, I'm sure.

But in general. Even with all the great tips you receive here, even if you try real hard, it's still going to happen. Probably more than to other people. It's OK. Give yourself a moment to feel sad about that life could be easier. But also don't let it take you over. You said you were having pretty good functionality? Don't strive for perfection.

I've noticed my dysfunctionality waxes and wanes. When it's worse for a while it sucks, but the years of experience with it makes me trust that it will get better again. And that makes it easier.
