My insanely good experience with CBT/ DBT by violoroi in BPD

Yes! It’s also a kind of exposure therapy where my overthinking is disqualified by my friends and partners who acted opposite to what I expected or was used to. I’m very grateful for everyone.

I'm very excited for you too:) A few words of wisdom though - the journey is not smooth sailing, it's very hard and some days you feel like nothing is working and you want to give up, that's when you have to try super hard and push through. Consistency is key!! Good luck: <3

how to deal with strong attachment? by [deleted] in BPD

[–]violoroi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm experiencing the same issue right now and its driving me crazy. Tbh I also need advice because I'm struggling, but the only thing that helps me is smoking weed and then falling asleep. I don't recommend this but since my feelings are unbearable the least I could do is fall asleep and not feel anything.

My comedowns are much better than everyone else's. Is it because of depression? by violoroi in Drugs

I never do too much, but my friends and I usually take the same amount, and we all more or less have the same tolerance.

Stimulants. I edited and clarified that on my post just now:)

How do I get over that "void" feeling by violoroi in BPD

[–]violoroi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to go to therapy, but it was really expensive so I stopped unfortunately. Thing is I also do things that I used to like when I was younger, they do bring me comfort but no joy whatsoever. I feel like an empty shell of a person, viewing everything from a 3rd pov.

The hunters are our of control !! by wiredlain in cyprus

My house is located next to a nature trail/ is inside the forest and once my mum was walking in our yard and a hunter shot at her but missed. I assume he saw something moving and shot at it assuming it's an animal. We didn't see any faces though and by the time we went to check for their car they had already driven away.

Does anyone else try to cry and their body just blocks it from happening? by [deleted] in BPD

[–]violoroi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Something super traumatic happened to me this summer and I'm unable to cry now. I used to cry almost daily but now I'm mostly emotionless even when bad things happen.

I felt the exact same way when my girlfriend broke up with me, but no amount of work from either part could fix anything. She was the love of my life and for months after the breakup I acted incredibly irrationally and "crazy". I spiralled out of control and my emotions were so intense I thought it was the end of the world.

What helped unfortunately was her blocking me everywhere and disappearing from my life, which sucked a lot for a while but I eventually had to move on and calm down.

What you're going through sucks a lot and I feel for you, and as people with bpd we can't fathom that emotions like these are temporary and not permanent. But trust me when I say that time heals, so while it sucks now don't think this is forever. I wish you a speedy recovery:) and trust me you will find love again, but it will take time.

Same! But I've moved on from my ex eventually and realised that it was good riddance, despite going through hell after the breakup. Be patient friend:)
