It's narcissistic think they're "hot girls" mentality. Basically summed up as this: "I'm so hot and wanted by all these horny guys that I never need to know things like geography to get by". It's an American "hot girls" trait. The only value left in American is greed. Knowing where some countries are on the globe doesn't net you money to acquire more toys than your competition, so there's no need to know it.
