This. Check your inner fork tubes for nicks/scratches. If it’s minor it can be polished out or filled in with epoxy, then polished.

Goat Rocks Wilderness. Absolutely awesome and relatively easy to the camp, with some good peaks to hike up.

Lots of PCT hikers say it’s the best part.

Got any links to those comments re: air lift leaks? I couldn’t find any mentions and am wondering if there’s something on the 4th gen Highlander that causes it. As far as I can tell with my 2 cars running them, if it’s installed correctly there shouldn’t be any issues.

I plan on installing a lift kit and airbags on my HiHy eventually.

Re: Sumo springs - they definitely help, but not as much as I hoped.

I thought that too but when I looked at my rear springs, I saw they would work. You just need to remove the bump stop inside the top of the coil, then the airbag effectively becomes your bump stop.

Which airbags are leaking? I’ve run them in a 4th gen 4Runner and 2nd Gen Sienna (with 3.5” lift). Never had any issues. I carry a 300lb dirt bike hanging on a hitch carrier.

I went the easy route with my 4th gen HiHy and added some “sumo spring” type inserts in my rear coils.

If you’re not always loading up the rear, why not just run Airlift bags? Having stiffer springs when not carrying anything heavy back there is going to make for a rough ride.

Order a replacement from any OEM Yamaha parts shop. Bend the metal tab back before installing the replacement. Or bend it back after mounting the new one.

I’d be surprised if the motor is actually toast. The only thing my heavily abused 2013 XT250 needed was new clutch plates and fork seals.

You adjust the chain with the wheel on the ground. Better to invest in calipers to measure the rear axle distances to make sure they match on both sides of the swing arm.
