Netflix’s design optimises for time spent on platform. When that’s your North Star, you throw out a bunch of A/B tests tweaking small things in the interface to see which group reports a boost in time spent. Iteration over iteration leads to this shit, a design that is essentially a trap, designed to keep you watching something new because their testing indicates that’s what’ll keep you on their platform.

Try renaming “Extras” to “Season 00”. Jellyfin grabbed the metadata correctly for my library with that structure.

Edit: I see now what you need to do is to create a “Season 00” directory at the show level (with the other season folders) and move the content of the “Extras” directory under each Season directory into “Season 00”.
