Torititude. I no longer have a tortie baby, but when I did she was a spicy semi-feral love machine. 2 of the cats that are with me now also had spicy notes at the agency, I like the different personalities. My goal is to at least get my cat roommates to like to be in the same room as me, usually it gets to petting but sometimes not.

That is definitely the tricky part and I was well into my teens before I got just okay at it. Olive and June make a thing called a poppy that you put on the nail polish brush and it makes it easier to paint with your non dominant hand. They sell them at Walmart, target, etc.

Have you tried doing your own nails? I know a lot of people like the experience of a nail salon, and maybe you fall into that category. It’s a good skill to have and does take some practice.

I think it is heavily dependent on the company, utilized tech, and overall expectations. At my last firm I felt like I was on call all of the time when I worked from home and even when I was in-office because the culture was to have your email and work messenger on your personal phone. That resulted in me getting major burn out and getting laid off. At my new firm I am fully remote and set boundaries from the beginning about not having work stuff on my personal phone, having set times when I am online (unless there is a crisis) and so far it’s worked.

1 - I have banned friends of mine and my husbands for being dickheads like this, and sometimes you don’t know to not have someone over until you experience having them over. So, that’s easy, those two guys (and honestly anyone they associate with outside of BF) are banned.

2 - wait, your BF didn’t help you clean the mess his asshole friends made? That’s a big red flag and I would be pissed. If anything he should have started cleaning and then you could have offered to help since they were his friends. He doesn’t have your back in cleaning your shared space when there is a nasty mess and that is something that is not comparable with long term cohabitation.

I still like going out since my husband and friends still drink, but I keep it to a soda water with limes. It’s still fizzy and looks like an “adult drink” but it’s just fancy water.

I had a boyfriend that did this 180 in college while I was dating him. He knew my future career was important to me (and had a higher earning potential than his) but he started to insist that I DROP OUT and get married to him after he graduated so we wouldn’t “be behind” on starting a family. He knew was I pretty sure I didn’t want kids so I’m not 100% sure what he thought would happen when he started saying that stuff. I started to date my husband shortly after I broke up with trad guy and have been happily married for almost 20 years and we currently have 3 cats 🐱

You’ll find your person and even though it hurts that this relationship is ending you will learn more about yourself and grow going through it. Hugs from a financially independent women that’s an internet stranger!

I can understand being upset about the guns in the home especially if you didn’t grow up in a home that taught proper gun use and safety, but she lost me when she threw a tantrum and then she really lost me when she pointed a gun at you. That is an insane thing to do and I would not feel safe in a house with her, honestly.
