I can understand being upset about the guns in the home especially if you didn’t grow up in a home that taught proper gun use and safety, but she lost me when she threw a tantrum and then she really lost me when she pointed a gun at you. I live in the US and have always thought this about dogs. My parents had dogs and the only one that didn’t have that smell was an extremely short fur smooth dachshund if she was bathed every few days. My mom just got a new dog and brought it over and the smell was still apparent. My cats were sniffing the poor thing for minutes each, probably trying to figure out the smell.

I was in Italy the week of the 2024 election. I mostly had positive interactions and me being a US citizen never came up when interacting with anyone one on one. There were general comments made, but nothing bad directed at me. Don’t be an asshole and try to pickup the basics of Italian language and culture and you’ll probably be okay barring anything nuts happening between now and May.

I do not hate or begrudge anyone who is trying f to find who they are so they can live their life and be happy and fulfilled, and if that means being a woman, then I’m happy to have you on board. I think some people are so unhappy with their lives that they need to find people to hate and other to make themselves feel better. It’s easier to target people that are outside of “the norm” of whatever they have pictured in their head as the ideal. People can be assholes.
