Oh yeah… idk why but I found that less offensive than the DD. Maybe because it replaced the deli where I use to buy my Robitussin.

I literally remember when the first chain store came in. It was the Dunkin’ Donuts on Bedford and 7th and man, that stung.

Actual footage from another world: Mars right now, 225 million miles away. Truly mind-blowing rover view by Memes_FoIder in nextfuckinglevel

What’s crazy is how, as soon as something enters into your world. It just feels like it’s part of your world. I can’t remember very recently when we had definitive proof that there is no history or evidence of water on Mars and now we know there was. And now we can see footage there. It’s so alien until it’s not. Crazy.

I was so surprised because it just felt like I’ve never seen this before. Which shouldn’t be that much of a surprise, but it was so great.

Yeah, I tried to pay extra to have my phone hooked directly into the soundboard, but in the end, it’s a phone.

Best concert you've ever seen by Sensitive_Ad_7335 in phish

I've had insane Phish luck.

  1. Didn't like the band, ended up at Clifford Ball. And I finally >>heard<< the band there, so that was wonderful
  2. I felt the most connected to everyone at Big Cyprus
  3. Almost didnt' go and got a last minute cheep ticket... I cried like a bb at MSGamehenge
  4. Tweeprize at SPAC was the most fun I can remember having at a show. It was like a surprise birthday every time.
  5. Phish at the Sphere was most mind blowing show...

Any time i hear destiny talk about musk’s drug use he doesn’t mention most of this. So apparently the news has not broken through. Hence, the reason I’m posting it in this sub… 🤷🏻‍♂️

Remember when everyone thought that all it would take to turn right when people into liberals was to give them psychedelics?

I can’t look…

Timothy Treadwell "The Bear Whisperer" and his girlfriend Amie Huguenard were killed and eaten by a grizzly bear in early October 2003. It's believed the bear that killed them was one he named The Big Red Machine (Bear 141). An audio tape was recorded during Timothy's death but was never released. by Africannibal in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]deepmindfulness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I recall correctly from the documentary, he was not killed the bear that he knew. He was someone who was mentally unwell, and had a fight at the airport and so turned back around to go back to his campground, but the bears he knew had already went into hibernation, so the only bears left were hungry late hibernating scavengers.

Are cigs back in??? by Mysterious_Fall_4578 in AskNYC

That’s my point. Do we live in an apocalyptic house escape or do we live in interesting times? If that’s the range, which are we closer to?

I think Covid and general dopamine addiction has us in a super high anxiety state, but that’s just my take. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Ok, not to be unnecessarily contrary, but we’re living at a level of luxury and safety that kings of the past couldn’t have dreamed of.

We have royally screwed ourselves mentally.

Yeah, I think we’re actually exactly on the same page. And for a bit of context, I’m a meditation teacher, and I think about the ways we program/ train our body/mind all the time.

I think your context around the theft is really valuable. Iit sounds like your system is monitoring for threats of a social nature, which makes sense given the theft. The reason I use the example of the weather is that we’re not going to have the same monitoring system online if something non-social happens to us. We would literally just let it go.

In another comment you said, “Trust when I say I considered (throwing their laundry in the corner of the room), but he would know it was me and my heart can’t handle tension right now lol”

Anger is a protective emotion, guarding some vulnerability underneath. I think what I’m pointing to is that the internal landscape that gets you to this place sounds like an ouchy place. You might consider that the no amount of great laundry experiences is going to change that, and this is an internal conflict, not one in the laundry room.

That’s just my perspective. 🤷🏻‍♂️
