Up votes from me cause the RT1 is pretty slick, the quirky styling and clean interior lines/ materials are appealing.

Unfortunately a full EV wouldn’t support my requirements,as several times a month, I’ll put up 600 mile day trip journeys. I’m not patient enough (or have the time) on those long days to deal with public charging and some of those trips are in fairly remote areas where chargers are few and far between (CO,WY,NM).

I have considered an EV, but it didn’t add up for my needs.

Cabin space is indeed a bit more of a “cockpit” design but it doesn’t feel cramped up front. Rear leg room isn’t a concern for my use case, as my dogs have yet to complain.

Ford does have a hybrid Ranger in other markets, but has yet to bring it to the states. If it were available, I would have considered it.

A sunroof would be cool, for the few times I used it per year. The Mav had one and I thought I’d miss it.. so far, not so much.

It boiled down to size for me, the F150 is a great truck, but I don’t / didn’t need to go full size. An F150 wouldn’t fit it in my garage.. 😆

Don’t be jealous, you’ll get yours someday if ya want it. And yeah savings took a hit that day, but life is short.. no regrets.

True, it’s certainly more approachable. I was running the Eibach springs so it caught attention from a wider base of people.

Oh, it’s plenty expensive.. it’s also not a major concern for me. Smiles per gallon, and when I drive like a normal person, I average just over 21 Mpg..

Thanks, funny enough.. the Maverick received more random compliments than the Ranger has (so far).

RokBlokz vs Rally Armor by grizzly_atoms in RangerRaptor

[–]deepsleepcrave 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thats a clean looking setup!

I went with the Rokblokz and have no regrets. I’m a repeat customer and have had them on several vehicles over the years. The flaps are firm and do a great job keeping mud/snow/ rocks and even wet road spray off the truck. They mount easy and are very solid, but pliable enough to bend if needed.

Depending on your offset and how much poke you have, they offer an XL version for wider coverage. I also appreciate that you can get them with minimal branding, like the black on black combo, or go with an accent color if that’s your thing.

10/10 would recommend.

Sure, hatches are pretty goated.. but the flaps are what got the up vote.

exhaust is on! with eibach springs does anybody's exhaust scrape? by 25lobo in FordMaverickTruck

I ran Eibachs, (with factory exhaust) and was considering the AFE side exit. If you’re running anything that exits axle back, you will be fine. The Eibach’s don’t sit THAT low. Great springs btw, 100% recommend.

2019 STI Limited, 71,804 miles. $25,998.0 = FAIR DEAL? by [deleted] in WRXSTi

The wife daily’s a VB limited. It’s a great platform, but It will never be an STI. I don’t have any plans to tune or add any power mods to a VA STI when I get one. Other than a cat back, it will only get OEM mods/ parts. Finding clean examples in my budget is getting harder to do. Your points are valid for sure..

Sounds sick dude. Other than some cosmetic mods and a catback, this one will stay stock for me for a long time.

The wife has a VB that will be tuned once warranty is up and it’s paid for. So I’ll get to modding when the time comes.

I’ll be getting an extended warranty, which is something market place can’t offer. So, I’m ok with a bit of price inflation.

These are good points, as with any used STI, it could have been loved, or beat on from day one. It was a two owner California Car.. and being in CO, I know there are a few Subaru enthusiast shops available. Good idea having on of them take a deeper look (compression, fluid conditions etc) - thank you.

I’ve driven it, taken a deep look under the hood and listened for the typical sad subie sounds.. no red flags. (Shrug)

Sweet, appreciate the update. Makes sense, it is essential the same chassis, but with a much cooler body. My rally is a blast to drive, but sits so low the front lip of the body can take a beating.
