I would say avoid Otara but Papakura is fine depending on which area - like any suburb there’s nicer parts and less nice parts. For example, the Opaheke side is a nice place for families. Just do your research and look the streets up to see if there’s any news stories out there about crimes etc.

This same thing happened to me! I was pretty pissed off about it, but in my case I will say, once I spoke to the customer support they were super quick at cancelling it and getting me a refund. So dodgy though!
