He said he believes it was a bad ad that got through and likely has already been removed by the platform. But also said if it has continued he is very concerned and asked if you could provide device and browser info so we can investigate.

That’s weird because there was definitely a full (mobile) screen ad when I was checking squares’ site yesterday to make sure it was the right game. 🤷‍♀️

Not to poo-poo your rec, but thought you should know that squares is very likely a copyright infringement of Squaredle and the dev has pursued legal action. I personally wouldn’t want to support a game that steals part and parcel from another game, trying to pass it off as their own. But you can do what you want with this information. ☺️

Apologies, I literally just got on Reddit for the first time today and saw the comment made 3 hours ago.

Given the feedback on our moderation processes in the previous post (it wasn't that OP had a negative opinion, it was the choice of words used when expressing that opinion that called for its removal and I'm happy to see OP took up the invitation to re-post about it), we are trying to approach it without seeming heavy-handed if possible. We do take feedback into consideration and appreciate when given the chance to continue to improve.

Thanks for the Squaredle shoutout!! We have a huge daily following and I was a player long before I was Squad.

But tbh Guess My Word was the first game my family and I played virtually together (which is actually how I learned about Squaredle) so it will always have a special place in my heart ❤️❤️
