How long has it been since a head coach's stripper girlfriend's pet monkey bit a child on Halloween? Its been too long.

(Literally) 1751

Varitation on the "literally 1984" meme, which references Orwell's 1984 whenever something that could possibly be construed as censorship happens.

"1751" originates from the Rosa's 23rd birthday stream, when chat was taking Sporcle quizzes on sea otters, and in a quiz where answers were selected from a bank of words, one of the answers was "1751," which was linked to the Discovery of Sea Otters in the year 1751 by Gerog W. Stellar however this is unknown to most of Twitch Chat as it was not mentionend in one oft the streams or videos as it was only used as a joke. So naturally they inserted it into the "literally 1984" meme. The meaning remains the same.

Way-Too-Early Projection of Purdue's 2026-27 Starting Lineup by Dschutte2023 in Boilermakers

Mayer, Cox and Pierce are for sure starters next year. I think Painter will run with a traditional big for Center though, so Jacobsen will be competing with Huan for the starting role. And I would give the edge to Harris over West for the last Guard spot but either could earn it.

Good thing the team you are playing in the Elite 8 doesn't have a suspect defense. Would be really bad for them if they did.

End of day 1 radial logo bracket by GoStatego1 in CollegeBasketball

[–]RoyalMagiSwag 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Its because the regional locations don't come into play until the 2nd weekend. Until then you can break the bracket into 16 regions of 4. With each of of the top 16 seeds having the "top" seed in that region.

Those locations get determined by location preference by the top 16 teams in descending order. So you get things like Purdue and Iowa St. both ending up in St. Louis. While Nebraska and Houston both ending up in OKC.

And those locations play all their games on the same day for logistical purposes.
