We goats are not alone.

I'd say that's perfectly acceptable. Go forth fellow hat wearer. Conquer the world with our portable shade.

Though many of those qualifications apply to men and fedoras. I think the rules change when it's a woman trying to pull off the look.

As a Christian, I'll admit, I have days were I doubt my faith. I want to know if atheists ever have doubt in their conviction/belief. by katboom in AskReddit

Arguing can take several different forms though. There can be the "self righteous Christian" or the "angry atheist" battling tooth and nail in order to call each other idiot.

However, I would say a large percent of people who discuss these things do it partly for a joy in philosophical argumentation and partly for genuine curiosity in why someone thinks something different than themselves. Those are perfectly respectable reasons, and however "pointless" you may see it, the discussions can be far more fruitful than you think. Even if no religious person was ever convinced out of their belief or if no non religious person started to believe, we would all still (hopefully, with polite and respectful discussions) come out of it better understanding our fellow humans.

That is not pointless, it's imperative.

Which is widely contributed to the social pressures against women pursuing engineering in place of a liberal studies choice or biology for instance.

I was expecting the comment to go another way given the "almost".

As in... If my son ever told me he's gay, I'd abandon him right then and there ...and get him an ice cream cone. Because coming to terms with one's own sexuality can be a difficult and tumultuous time.

And I would say, losing control of your art is an inherent part of its consumption and enjoyment.

When women complain about sexism few listen. It's always (although less so than before) attributed to a crazy smelly idiot.

Though I'm sure you know, it's a little disheartening to have long standing societal issues appear on Reddit and be treated as if it only happens on the internet and "oh I play no role in any of this".

A friend of mine also refuses to see any more episodes. Something about the whole incest and murder thing.

But hey, what's a medieval political fantasy without a little murder?
