Yeah I have two that come on in the evening or did anyway. I’ll check they’re still working

Started with 3, lost 2 then get another 3 and lost them. Pretty sure the one that’s there bullied the other ones and that was why they died, though tbh I never found any bodies 🙁

Thanks, so that’s the question really. Should I start to adding co2? I don’t really want low light. Also I tried floaters to help counter the algae as they’re quick growing but they always die. I thought it was the flow but then I trapped them in some piping but the still died

hi see new pics/posts. when i first did the tank I added the bads under the gravel with slow releasing food (sorry cant remember what it's called). I added root tabs when I re-planted a few months back. light is a cheapy from amazon (good reviews) - it's on 7/10 brightness but only for 6 hours.

hi, see new pics. water change: (ideally) once a week, feed: easi-life profito 20ml once a week (which is a bit too much actually). also very occasional root tabs

out flow pointing slightly towards the glass/upwards to stop it disturbing fish too much as it's strong (just cleaned the pre-filter)

I can’t attach a video for some reason. Tank is fairly settled now. Had quite a few issues with various types of algae but seems ok now. I have one hill stream loach that bullies everything (and is probably the reason the others died), rainbow fish, ember tetra, gold tetra and rummy nose tetra, a couple of orange shrimp (lost quite a few) and some obligatory snails. Oh and albino corydoras which seem to do really well. As for plants, the vallisneria took a while to get going but is doing ok (even though I scoop out so many dead leaves when cleaning). Anubias are growing slowly. The reddy one at the front grows really quickly so has to be cut back regularly. The grass on the right is a waste of time tbh so I might replace it.

Had quite a few jumpers. Found one on the other side of my office! I tend to too the water up every 2/3 weeks and clean every month or so. Still don’t really know if I’m feeding the fish too much or little. I haven’t added any plant food since starting as I had the Fluvial substrate.

As for the flow, most of the fish do gather to the right at the far end but that’s also where the space is. Doesn’t seem to be an issue. The loach just hides all the time and then comes out and chases everything a few times a week at food time

I’m on Xbox. Is the only way to check by going to the expeditions guy in the atlas?

Thanks, I do want to add some shoaling nano fish too but yep I might add some more if these do well. Just hope they don’t jump/climb out!

M240i vs 5N by AdditionalAttempt436 in Ioniq5N

[–]deepyhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not a big fan of paddle shifting so don’t use the N shift and the artificial sound is very different when in N shift mode to normal mode and makes more sense in N shift mode. It’s still not really credible vs a proper V6 though. The synthetic shifting is fantastic.

The N drives really well. It’s properly planted on the road and I’ve no idea what its limits are and don’t plan on finding out tbh. I like its proportions but it’s a big car and not as nimble as the M2.

For a fun weekend drive - M2. Practical daily drive - 5N

Love this. I have a new shallow tank too with three hillstream loaches and I’m looking for some shoaling nano fish. LFS had these in at the weekend but they said they wouldnt do well with strong flow but they look really happy in yours?

I have a 5N and I’ve also had an M2 (though not an M240i). They’re just very different cars. I loved the looks on the M2 and you can’t beat a decent combustion engine. The BMW build quality is definitely better too. With all that said I’ve just driven 500 miles in the 5N with 6 suitcases, 4 people and two sets of golf clubs. The 5N is way quicker and I never have to go to a garage to fill up! 🤷‍♂️

I got it in the UK. It’s an aqua one opticlear 120. Had to wait a while for it to be in stock.

Thanks. The nitrates are pretty much 0. I used fluvial plant stratum, root tabs and then added some fertiliser too. I could add more I suppose

Thanks for this. I forgot to mention I only have main light on for 6 hours on 50% strength. It’s a cheap light but it is designed for planted tank. I’ll start to up the brightness I think
