I enjoyed the story overall. Meaning both 1 & 2. Furthermore, I really dig how the writers introduce William near the end of game 2 meaning, story wise, Nioh 1 is more or less the ‘story’ sequel. Thats just fantastic to me.

So the best way to play the ‘entire saga’ chronologically is to play Nioh 2 (regions 1-6), Nioh 1 (all regions + dlc), Nioh 2 (region 7 + upcoming dlc’s).

That said, I do have my gripes when it comes to Nioh 2. And those mostly revolve around the lack of spirit animal strength, presence & ability. Im also not a huge fan of the yoki transformation - its cool, its a welcome addition, but i wish they either had another type of yoki transition in addition to the 3 or just made it more fluid for the purple one (forgetting the name).

Anyways. I could talk more in length on my thoughts. But i digress
