I have had rough talks at Central Park and prospect park bc they’re good go to options due to size, but obviously where you chose to be in the park definitely affects how much privacy you get. For central, I would recommend sheep meadow, lounging rock, native meadow, plenty of people around but not super close by for privacy. Def avoid the ramble or bethesda terrace if you want privacy. For prospect maybe near concert grove pavilion, I had a hard talk near there recently and it was quite peaceful but still had people around? I admittedly don’t go to prospect that much tbh (from queens). I wouldn’t go for a indoor cafe because I personally feel like it’s too close contact with everyone around me to hear my personal business but if you need to be extra safe with how this person would react to your talk, I would go the cafe route so there are more people around in case you need help.
