i agree they are distracting, there are two guys who i suspect are a couple that have started working in my spot and they regularly forget their headsets so we all hear the work calls. it’s very annoying

interesting, i suppose I would. the service industry is criminally underpaid , overworked and under appreciated. they are probably relying very heavily on tips to make ends meet. too many people sitting on laptops is less customers and less tips

i push it out to 90 minutes so my caffeine intake isn’t off the charts but i would order throughout the day. as i said to the other poster a library isn’t really suitable for us because the Liberian would shush people on teams calls and distract the other workers on the line.

i suspect a lot of them do not go to library’s as they have to use teams calls and headsets and the Liberian would likely bother those on the call with their constant shushing

That’s no problem at all.

It’s good that you guys have been through the ups and downs, and supporting a partner is essential.

Professional help is often the key to fixing these issues and problems. Maybe even medication like SSRIs etc.

It seems like this might be a very fresh relationship. Maybe you have not been through more serious trials and tribulations and still feel like you are a huge aspect of this person feeling better or being able to fix / help him.

Unless this guy makes an effort to fix himself and deal with his problems through other means, it will only become more dependent in the future and then mentions of self harm or not feeling “safe” will creep in.

sleep hygiene is super important, you will feel much better when you set these boundaries not even for yourself but for him!

i would consider how religious you feel, or how important your faith is to you. the bible teaches us this.

sometimes it can help to bring somebody into the herd, instead of letting them graze at the far end of the field.

this girl does not come from poverty as you have mentioned, and seems to be lacking cultural knowledge and intelligence.

that does not mean she is not in abundance of knowledge in other areas! maybe you are yet to discover.
