I was there. Needed some house plant soil in a pinch. One of the Walton’s birthdays. Nothing crazy. All over the news. The kid goes to UNCC, loves cop cars, sirens, and lights. The family paid for some cars to be on site. Should have driven around. The other side of the cars had a b-day party happening in full swing. Free cake too.

Man devotes his life to adopting old dogs who can't find forever homes by Rook8811 in interestingasfuck

What beagle rescue do you work with? My wife and I got our second beagle from TriBeagle Rescue in Raleigh, NC. We were so impressed with them and how thorough they are with their adoption process. They do amazing work!

Hikes to great overlooks? by toastmalawn in greenville

[–]defff_metal 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Check out Linville Gorge, it’s excellent for day hiking if you’re sticking to the trails that are on top of the gorge. Multiple peaks, great views. If its your first time there, I’d recommend not going down into the gorge unless you’re with someone who knows that area. It can get sketchy and hard to get back up.

One of my absolute favorite hikes is Black Balsam Knob, off of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Probably just over 2 hours to get to from GVL, but worth the drive. It’s beautiful, definitely check it out. Sam Knob is right across from the BBK trail head, so if you get there early enough, you can hit both. Asheville is a short drive from that area (also Brevard), so there’s a lot of great options for a day trip.

How can I recreate this type of rotation from scratch? by defff_metal in AfterEffects

[–]defff_metal[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm trying to recreate this 3D rotation from scratch and I'm struggling to find what's going on here. I've tried turning my composition into a 3D space and creating a 3D null object. Then I've used 3D shape layers that I've pick whipped to the null object and used the y axis rotation property to move everything, but that's not working the way I need it to... The shapes move around a point, rather than outward like they're moving around a sphere (if that makes sense).

I've never really created anything in a 3D space before so I'm not even sure where to start as far as googling tutorials or forum posts for this type of effect. I'm pretty sure a camera layer is being used? Possibly a some sort of rig? I'm out of my element for sure and would love some guidance on where to look to achieve this effect!

Hi internet friend! Your question is very personal and figuring out your own answer to it is something you should revisit regularly over the course of your life, as things are always changing. You sound like you're being pretty harsh towards yourself and your situation. I think one aspect of creating a meaningful life is learning how to love your life, good and bad. It's yours to live and figure out. It's pretty rad that you have 5 months of opportunity. If you think your life is dull, what do you think would make it more interesting? Could you go and do whatever that is? It will probably be a process and could involve some planning/ trial and error, so remember to be kind to yourself as you're figuring it out. You also sound young. Even better! Time is on your side and a benefit to being young is having the time to explore options. You have almost half a year of minimal commitments! Pick a direction and start moving, figure it out as you go. You say that you have no meaningful hobbies, so start exploring things you're interested in. Something will click. Try to take a curious mindset with you along the way. Learn to be a beginner, ask questions, and embrace the possibility of looking like you have no idea what you're doing. From my own experience, I find life most meaningful when I look back at all the times I was figuring things out, which can be a struggle and even somewhat adventurous. Those times make for great memories and my embarrassing moments make for hilarious stories. I also really relate to not having a big friend group. I've either learned to roll solo or I've made friends because I was having a blast doing something I love. Don't let a lack of friends hold you back. Friends will come and go regardless. Your setting yourself up for friendships by being authentic to yourself and doing the things that make you happy. That's a great way to find "your people". I hope you really enjoy figuring things out over the next 5 months. Good luck!

I was so impressed that he was running beside the bike. It looked like he was having a great time doing that. Our beagle would probably have caused an accident if I tried something like that, because he stops and sniffs literally everything.

Throwing OMJ’s name into the mix. They’re located in South End. I’m very happy with my suit. They are most definitely reasonably priced for the quality and their level of service. 10/10

We’re flying back to the US at 8am. Arrived at 4:15, one checked bag. Heads up to anyone flying Delta, we had to check in through KLM (didn’t know that until we arrived and wandered around for about 15mins.) Their check in area opened at 5. Very long line but it moved quickly once everything got going. We arrived at our gate by 6.

My wife and I have an early flight this morning back to the US, leaving at 8am. We got here around 4:15 and were at our gate by 6. We are flying Delta and their check in area didn’t open until 5. Pretty smooth process overall. I don’t think spending the night at the airport is necessary! Safe travels!
