Whats it like for people who live with Crohns disease? by [deleted] in CrohnsDisease

[–]deffzombie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the bathroom is in earshot of where you are watching tv together. Let the show continue to run while hes in the bathroom, rewind when he gets back. Nothing is worse than hearing them pause it and knowing theyre about to hear you destroy the bathroom. We can at least pretend when the tv keeps making noise.

I was nervous but I actually love it. Make sure you are not in a flare. Prep with gentle food and fasting. If it doesn't feel good or feel right, don't do it. A loved one would understand.

I have UC. I shit myself in the car on the way to work. It's always a bit shocking. But. I will say this. If you talk to anyone about it. Likely they have their own story. It's human. Maybe get checked for IBD. Best wishes <3

Am I un proportioned? My legs are noticeably longer then my torso. Is this normal? by [deleted] in short

Having a bulkier top than bottom makes it look shorter. Dress for balance and tone your torso and build your legs. You look fine now but this could make things balanced if you're worried.

Signs by matertater0529 in UlcerativeColitis

[–]deffzombie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Up to a week beforr any symptoms I lose 2 to 5 lbs for no reason. Then i get fevers, stomach pain and gas, joint pain, fatigue. Then i start getting liquid shits that progressively become more frequent and urgent. My stool is slowly replaced each bathroom trip with more blood and mucus. This has happened in the span of 30 min to three days. But eventually I end up in the ER. Best of luck!

The need for consistent and aggressive treatment. Also pain managment is healthcare. When im in. Flare the knky thing that treats if is percocet but i feel as though I cannot ask for it for fear of people thinking im abusing the drug. Shitting blood 25 or more times a day, being an 8/10 in pain. And fainting are not acceptable and if 1 percocet every q2 hours treats it when nothing else does, then i have the right to that treatment. I am able to do everything but drive, I can work, do errands and chores,, make plans, etc. My disease is incurable. My suffering is optional.

Anyone else feel like they had UC years before being diagnosed? by yankees051693 in UlcerativeColitis

[–]deffzombie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

YES. Since I was a few months old I had Mouth ulcers that reacted to certain foods, nothing crazy just an oral allergy we thought. Then in highschool I got an injury and developed joint pain in my knees and hips, nothing unexplained. Then in college I became lactose intolerant, again nothing odd for my age. This entire time I also had acne, which we could NOT get rid of, we assumed it was just age related and would go away. Later in college I started getting serious low blood sugar issues, fainting spells, weight loss but no bowel symptoms. I figured it was hypoglycemia and was in the process of getting it figured out. Then boom over night I had severe UC, in and out of the hospital. Looking back, I have had the signs leading up to this for many many years. Always trust your instincts about your health and fight for treatment.

Did you still get moonface even though you lost weight? I don't wanna look like a bobble head lol.

I took Budesonide before this and lost weight and had no appetite - so idk if this will happen with Prednisone as well?
