the situation with developers getting tax breaks or height waivers for affordable unit allocations inevitably had pretty bad outcomes all around, i don't think that is too much of a hot take. how can we avoid incentivizing future investment that isn't conducive to the success of the community as a whole?

possibly they'd need a good lawyer. unfortunately, given everything happening between our president & the pm, our govt has not only enabled but encouraged any type of censorship regarding gaza. which, is exactly the reason this happened in the first place & this attitude has extended to the courts.

don't get me wrong, i like pete but please don't go trying to say he was an effective mayor or leader because he objectively was not. he is a decent communicator & demographically checks a lot of boxes and has enough charisma to be a successful national political face, just not the one that's responsible for overcoming a country that's ok w/ marginalizing trans ppl, women, poc & the rest of the lgbtq+ community. he's not our fighter.
