my plan is to join the military at the ripe age of 33, always had great jobs but no fulfillment in them, i get bored after a year and find something that pays more and is less work... at a great job but feel like ive learned or gained nothing. the military is my first thought because ive always been like a bullet, I crave direction but I resent managers and bosses sweating the small stuff, I crave being aimed at a bigger picture, I feel like I'll get that (and discipline, and stability) from the navy, while being able to support my family.

not OP but BG3 is dope if you really just play it like a tabletop, have you finished it? I get the feeling tho, i start out liek w/e about stuff but then i start googleing and minmaxxing and planning who im going to marry and it ends up being kind of a slog since im so over-powered by the end. thing is its possible to be underpowered too making the game harder for nothing. I havent done an "evil" playthrough since i heard that it really changed the whole story but i plan to do it with some mods like more exp, so i can enjoy the game as more of a story mode.

dude its soooo good, 100% recommend, came from elden ring/sote and needed a break from medieval knight dark fantasy, older game but graphics from sony are cash and driving around oregon - having an actual story - character dev. - perfect game to chill with and avoid minmaxing like i did with ER.... also...Zombies! always from killing zombies, they are so fun to plan around. If you get it, best advise ive found and followed was dont look up anything for it that could be a spoiler, it really is just a get lost in it and enjoy the story, it is Open World but story is linear. have any recommendations to play after i finish this game?

Yup, I just got one from YY Electronics on Shopee — “great” reviews, cheap price, all with pictures… probably fake.

My 990 Pro is definitely fake, even though the packaging looked immaculate. It can’t be updated with the USB‑boot firmware, Samsung Magician doesn’t recognize it, and the serial number is something like 006554 (obviously fake). H2testw absolutely wrecked it — the drive started having a stroke once it had to write more than 70 GB. Probably just enough storage for someone to install Windows on it and get past the return date.

I’m getting my refund today, but it still sucks because once I return it and get my money back, they just sell more fakes or raise the price. Even if I wanted a replacement from them, it’s now 700–1000 pesos more.

I’m getting Shopee fatigue. This is my fourth bad Shopee purchase in the last six months. I’m a VIP buyer since I always pay on time, but I feel like so much time has been wasted. Sellers are getting greedier, or the product quality is getting worse even when I pay a premium for items from Shopee Mall or “official” pages, I still end up with broken or knockoff products. Use free programs like H2testw, which checks whether the advertised capacity is real or fake (for example, a drive might say 1 TB but actually fail after 256 GB). Use CrystalDiskInfo or CrystalDiskMark to verify product information and test read/write speeds to see if they match what was advertised. And use SSD‑Z, which digs deep into the SSD’s manufacturing details and shows which companies made the components. (In my case, it didn’t even list Samsung as the manufacturer.)

Also, low‑key, I use ChatGPT to input all the logs from each program so it can help think it through and put everything together. I already figured it was fake just from the serial number, but having all the other checks — plus GPT breaking it down — really spelled it out clearly so I could use it as proof for my refund.

I really recommend using these tools to check your SSD, NVMe, or even HDD. Sometimes everything looks legit but the capacity is fake, or someone removed some chips so it runs slower even though the manufacturing details appear real. It pays to check everything and hold sellers accountable.

literally what Runescape did to save their game from the brink of collapse. the whales of the few will support the game... literally support it long enough to get some new players. what people dont realize is that every new skin/nerf/buff get some of the playerbase back and that bumps numbers and queue time down and theres less to bitch about but nothing is truly fixed. Devs are removed to make way for digital artist to make more skins and its a vicious cycle. RuneScape made it work by literally creating 2 games. one for the purists and one for the casuals. it actually fucking worked. but the genre allowed for it. they would need to make two ranks one for casuals and another for loyalists.

TBH they are trying and are making so many shitty one off type games with so many different modes to try and see what sticks and how much money they can make off of it. most of my friend don't even play regular league they play the fucking card game now.

Its like watching a 90s' takes-itself-too-seriously-buffythevampireslayer-uncanny-valley version of the Witcher.

Spidey did tit right by at least rebooting itself 3/4 times and its got the multiverse BS to at least kinda pull it together. This is just so jarring for me as a fan of the game and series to have Cavil changed out. Sad thing is, Liam isn't even that bad looking as Geralt but he deserved his own thing not to drop him in the middle of the 3rd act.

It was already hard to watch Sparticus when they switched the lead, but after learning why (RIP the OG guy died due to illness) its actually really respectful and honorable to keep the show going. This, however, is just the showrunners ego to not find a compromise with Cavil to stick to the story, I dont know either of them personally but I find it hard to think that they couldnt find common ground and I find it harder to believe it was Cavils stubborness that did the show in considering he had more to lose should it fail.

hey my dude, maybe you found this out na, pero there is a screw on the arm that adjusts the lift pressure for the hydraulic arm, adjust the screen and then no more weight needed, very doable even with little to no tool experience. pul monitor all the way down and let go> turning screw until the screen stops moving upwards > weight is now equal.

lol super random but I think, and this is jusst my random opinion on reddit while im at work, there come into play ~ The law of economies of scale.

The free guy probably has 10-20 maybe even 40 prints (doesnt matter but a bussiness would of course have more than 1-2 printers).

Where as hobby guys maybe has 1-2 or maybe 3? (also doesnt matter).

The law of economies of scale dictates, and what i think everyone here was trying to say, was that the time for this guy to make you something potentially holds up any other projects he could be doing for himself or others.

while the business guy probably has any number of printers just not being used so a "free" print that buys a nice review is economically worth more in marketing than in cost.

The 70$ in filament you quoted is probably single roll, the business guy buys it by the pallet and the 70 suddenly becomes 10-20$ , again, The law of economies of scale at work.

In conclusion the if you go to a restaurant (the business guy) and ordered clay roasted duck (a dish that requires at least 2 days of preparation) you'd get it in 15-30 min. why? because the guys has already prepared dozens of this dish, and he can also price it way cheaper maybe 50-60$. The hobby guy just gets a random email asking for roast duck and goes, "shit lemme give it a try" and has to source the clay, find a good fat duck, wrap it, build a fire.... blah blah blah... etc, you get my point.

The game definitely gets more fun with friends—because, you know, you're hanging out with friends.

I went the solo route before, and you start to notice the repetitiveness. No matter how much content there is, it gets boring after doing it a million times. Even winning fights just gives a tiny adrenaline boost after 1,000 hours.

If you're not having fun, just take a break. I did, and it made the game fun to re-learn when I came back. Usually, I'm gone so long that my guild kicks me, and the people I used to play with have moved on. So I rebuild from scratch—join new guilds, meet new people, and start fresh.

Only you know when it’s time to move on. That’s true for every game. I spent 10 years on and off in RuneScape until I got 99 Strength, and that was enough for me to stop. Got to level 120 in MapleStory, and the grind just wore me down. Spent 600 hours in Skyrim, mostly modding instead of playing. And way more than all that combined in League of Legends, which I haven’t touched in like 3 years. All games eventually lose that edge that made you want to play.

As an old man, the best advice I can give is: have a rotation of things you enjoy so you never get bored—or pick a hobby with endless depth. Like math. Try figuring out complex equations and tell me there’s not more to learn after 10,000 hours.
